  1. Finally unearthed my little collection of Amt 32 fords! There are some really nasty glue marks on these, these is one that is on top of my rebuild list( the first roadster) there are also two badly built and painted monogram 32 roadsters that have some potential of rebuilding.
  2. Got another up on wheels late last night, Phaeton on a stretched front end chassis, wheels are from the 29 Ford rat rod closed cab pickup. Dechromed and added gold detail. Suspension front and rear are from the amt 25t kit. Engine is from the revell 5 window kit Ford small block with an auto trans. This will have a very deluxe interior.
  3. The three window is my favourite of all the bodies, it takes a bit of work to get a stance proper if you are doing a channeled rod, but it does build up well out of the box as a highboy. Don’t give up on it
  4. Thank you, I’m not sure if I have a decent olds engine in my stash, I have some parts n pieces from the revell line of gassers ie: Anglia, Willys, Thames but they are all fairly incomplete.
  5. Thank you gennlemen Only a little progress made, the sorting! Making wheel choices for the 11 without duplicates has been a challenge.
  6. Well work continues, spent my last couple of nights at the bench finalizing the prep work for all the frames, two will have z’ed frames thanks to a tutorial by @Ace-Garageguy I have another 2 of 11 mocked up, roadster pickup and the Sport coupe. Got a little side tracked with details on some engines ??‍♂️. I’ll hopefully have some more frame updates soon with at least 5 more engines! Thanks for following along, comments of all types are welcome!
  7. Im seriously loving that colour
  8. I’m no expert either and I appreciate the feedback greatly
  9. I just acquired 2 of those kits in a package deal, well one is lindberg. Be cool to see what you do with it
  10. I’m not a collector by any stretch of the imagination, but since I restarted the hobby last year I’ve amassed over 150 kits, some of these were kits that I wanted at a younger age but never picked them, so I’ve amassed a stash of second choices. I’ve collected as many of the revell 32 Ford variations that I can, some complete, some partial and some rebuilders, and some kits and rebuilders just to scavenge for parts. There are some that are still on my wanted list.
  11. Well I’d have to say my skill level has increased a hundred fold since my formative years in the hobby. Now I have the patience to sit and think through the build, scratch building and modifications were like rocket science to me. I still use the testers square bottles but have evolved past the old orange tube. I’m dabbling more and more with acrylics and have evolved past just an xacto knife and nail clippers lol. My time building 1:35 scale miniatures helped me practice a steady hand for detailing.
  12. Primer mock-ups are my favourite part of building
  13. Wow!
  14. @Mr. MetallicI will take those tips into consideration, that was just a quick mock up to see how the Latham would look with the Ardun heads, I’m pleased so far with the idea and will do some work to make it look proper! thank you!
  15. Started mocking up some engines last night!
  16. I’m intrigued by this engine
  17. Thank you, the magic of paint come soon
  18. Im digging the wheel choice! Goes well with the colour choice.
  19. Well I have 10 of 11 frames and suspension components sorted and rehabilitated enough to start moving forward. Looks like I will have to break open only one new kit for a chassis and components! So far I have two frames mocked up with fenders, I may add a third. the next chapter will focus on wheels and engines, yes there will be flatheads @Paul Payneand possibly a hot four?
  20. Im thinking this will be a great stance!
  21. This build has been in my head for months, just waiting for the time to get set up! I’m super excited about this, I’m trying to sort through and gather all the parts for each build, but doing prep work along the way, kind of like meal prep haha. 11 frames, 11 suspensions, 11 engines, 11 sets of wheels etc etc… the challenge is making them all different.
  22. It’s good to be back @Kit Karson
  23. I’ve just read this thread from the start, and I have to say I’m truly inspired by your ability to turn an old derelict kit around! Hopefully you have time to return to this build.
