  1. Got this as a surprise early Christmas gift from a friend! Still sealed. I’m going to need a bigger bench.
  2. I love the detail that you show in your builds, it literally drives me to my bench to work on my own builds.
  3. I find that with every Revell kit nowadays. great work so far on the Eliminator
  4. Thank you Greg, This is one that got the juices flowing for all my hot rod builds. I'm super keen to finish this one
  5. Thank you Paul, but alas no wife, i'm a happy bachelor. The five window is slated for its time on the bench using the 29 roadster kit.
  6. off to a great start, following with interest as we know i love a good '32
  7. A little more to keep the Interest
  8. Hello Nurse!! Back from the depths of page 20 something. Decided to make an effort to get this one to the finish line. Taking a break from the 15 32’s and this was staring me in the face. Dug through my storage bins and found all the remaining pieces to continue on. stay tuned this is gonna be fun in the final dash.
  9. Once I finish the 15 I’ll make an attempt at one
  10. Recaro seats were the best upgrade I ever made in my 1:1 cars.
  11. Ok you have sold me on the look! I really need to do some research on the process for a patina paint job. I think the cad engine looks like a good fit, I think the traditional fish mouth scoops would be an ok look but I get what you mean about something less ordinary. Something like this would look “right”
  12. That’s something I haven’t mastered, it is on my list of learning this winter. I have a plethora of rebuilder bodies to practice on. This is an in progress attempt.
  13. Following with interest, this may give me some ideas for a refresh of this 33 that’s sitting in my “find an idea” bench
  14. Thanks, I’ll have some more updates later the weekend, still polishing
  15. For my entry I’ve chosen the MPC 1970 Mercury Cyclone stock car as the base for the build! I may or may not use the 3D printed birdcage. I have some other ideas on a “modern” drivetrain but I’ll keep that under wraps til I source the correct parts. This is my first community build and my first CBR build. Im super stoked to be apart of this round.
  16. To quote the immortal Kramer “giddyup”
  17. That interior is beauty
  18. Houston we have… Colour!! The finish line is coming, just trying to decide on a colour for the roadster pickup and finish the bodywork on the delivery van. The station wagon will be a surprise at the finish line. Please keep in mind the paint is raw and no finish work has been done yet.
  19. I really dig the plaid. Exceptional work on the interior.
  20. Loving this so far. One correction if I may though. The placement of your distributor is incorrect for a flat head engine. They are driven from the crank in either a front or a front offset.
  21. Thanks man I’m kind of excited to start this one, I’ll be adding tremendously to this haha.
  22. Went to my local hobby shop today, they had bought in a collection of older sealed kits. found this!! opened it up did some research and confirmed it’s a 1970!! So I got my build.
  23. It’s not so much of what the rules allow, it’s that I build predominantly 1:25th scale, so therefore I have no spare parts in 1:24th. no worries when it comes down to the entry deadline I’ll have something sorted. most of my building stash is 32 to 36 era cars and trucks. And I’ve slowly started dabbling in mid 70’s to mid eighties trucks and SUV’s and a couple of mid to late 60’s mustangs. I know I have a lot of options but I have to at least like the source materiel. And a lot of the available kits to me have been done to death and have no “original” my style options.
  24. I had it excluded by scale.
