  1. @Snake45i think the rules will let you get your 55
  2. I guess we will need some “grey” areas in the rules. Like I’m a November kid, I’m sure some 71 models dropped in late 70…
  3. I guess I should quantify my statement, it’s not just what I like it’s also what’s available locally.
  4. @Lunajammer I’m trying to Stick to 1:25 scale, so some of the monogram ones are out of contention. The 71 tbird or Torino could definitely fit the bill, I’ll do some local searching and see what I can come up with.
  5. Back from the depths of page 5. one in paint one ready for primer. work continues.
  6. Well I was trying to keep in mind of a vehicle that will be crossing the country at a high rate of illegal speeds, and also something that would accept some modern accoutrements. So my choices are:
  7. Thanks… no lol. I guess that’s the crapshoot of community builds. I think I have an unconventional idea, have to see if I can find one.
  8. A good friend has had to give up the hobby due to some unfortunate nerve damage, he no longer is able to build. So he has started showing up and giving me some of his unbuilt kits. He has a rather largish collection, so I offered to resell some of his collection instead of being a selfish punt and taking all the kits for myself.
  9. I should have lied about my age, there are no current 1970 kits that appeal to me ?
  10. I’m liking this immensely
  11. Not a huge update, but I built a paint booth today, so now I can get some projects off the bench
  12. Pretty sure it’s an older resin piece, I haven’t seen or heard of anyone producing it lately
  13. I have a front wheel drive golf, there hasn’t been a time I’ve needed or wanted a 4wd, even with my old commute from Leduc to Sherwood Park.
  14. I’m not sold on the pro-street look.
  15. I’m still not 100% sold on 4x4, if I go that route it will not be the lifted bro-dozer that is so often seen here. Ive never need a 4wd while living here in the city!
  16. They don’t surface that often, I’m glad I was able to get this one.
  17. Think I’m going to go the 4x4 route
  18. After looking at the available to me selections at my local hobby shops, I may have to outsource to the internet to find a suitable subject to build. ☹️
  19. After a couple of weeks of haggling and back and forth conversations, I finally managed to get my grubby little mits on a resin gmc crew cab. Now to decide if I’m going to build it as a 2wd dually, crew shortbed, or massage it into a suburban! Or maybe a 4wd?? I’ll be poking it on the back burner for a little bit. I’d like to make it it into a retro version of my shop truck.
  20. I’d like to join in on this round! I guess I’m in the banner year of 1970! I’ll have to start planning on what I’m gonna build.
  21. Well I finished all the major prep work of the suspension pan, and the interior! Now it’s on to the bodywork, filling in the moonroof and the holes for the spotlights.
  22. I have a friend locally that has put quite a bit of time in his R&D for the stl files he uses to print from. My goal to use one of his fine prints in a build will be appearing on the board soon.
  23. I’ll follow along, the roadster is one of the 15 that I have already completed, but maybe I’ll find some ideas for one of the others
