  1. Impeccable detailing!!
  2. Thanks Paul, well I wasn’t happy with the little metal axle pins so I replaced them with some styrene rod. This will allow a positive end fitment. Still continuing on with the warmed over flattie. Working on a proper engine mount and a set of headers. also have to add a lip to the rear wheels, got a little carried away making them fit the amt slicks. work continues
  3. Figured I’d try to smash out an end of the year build. I’ve had this kit since January and the only thing I’ve had done was to rob the wheels out of it lol. Decided on the channeled rod version. The frame and is components build up rather well. But now I’m at a crossroads, while the casting on the small block chebby is nice, I feel this ride deserves a third pedal. So I’m opting for a early 40’s flathead with a three speed crunch box instead. A pair of strombergs and some offenhauser heads will add some flavour.
  4. That’s moving along really nicely!
  5. Thanks guys, it’s actually a nice kit, goes together well without any fitment issues.I’m going to add a couple more to the stash as they surface.
  6. @Snake45 I’d go with the high school hot rod with a warmed over 6. Kid inherits grandmas grocery getter and hot rods it up with the money he gets from working part time at the corner gas/service station.
  7. I’m so glad that this thread resurfaced, I just finished reading from start to… we’ll where you left off haha. There is so much useful information in here, I love your ability to think outside the box and create useful soloutions, ie your CAD templates and using clear acetate as a template. Your build has opened my eyes to new building techniques and I have to say I love the articulated hand pointing out the details. The mini engine stand/rotisserie is an absolute marvel. well done mate!
  8. I’ll probably go the 3D print route, unless I can find just the parts.
  9. I’ll have to start scouring the dark corners of the web for that. this kit deserves a flattie
  10. Where did you source the 1/8 scale flathead engine?
  11. Years not over yet, you still have three days to finish one.
  12. Nice parking lot, there are some in there that I’m curious about, the sedan and the coupe with the exposed blowers, I can’t place them.
  13. Gonna call this one done! One build complete for 2021 woot. yes I know the rear bumper is droopy and the back carb tipped over, both of those have been corrected after photos.
  14. Getting closer, after some trial and error I have the lower grille mount done, and stared adding final details. tried mocking up some large headlights, those will not be final fitment height.
  15. Well with the blight of the holidays now over it was time to spend some time at the bench. The 15 ‘32’s are still looming on the workbench horizon. While searching for some parts for my 33 build, I found myself digging through the remains of a kit that was sent to me by @Kit Karson. An idea struck to do a quick oob build of one of Iron trap garages newest project cars. Beautiful the 34 ford 5 window coupe with an amazing back story.
  16. You had me at 34 Ford ?
  17. That’s cleaning up pretty nice Greg
  18. Thanks guys, got a little work done today, decided to go without the frame aprons, and made a stealth frame to hold the bottom of the rad shell.
  19. Thanks John, look forward to seeing some of your builds on here.
  20. A couple more to add to the growing build/parts hoard
  21. Thank you Paul, I have the next 10 days off so ill be pushing this across the finish line, as well as some others i hope.
  22. Stealth apron
  23. Thank you Jim, I’m working on a “hidden” fender apron
