A beautiful piece of rolling art. The creativity and vision of folks like you inspire me towards greater challenges. Thanks for sharing! -

Last WIP entry for this one. Will post finished pics when I get the radiator hose in, hood on, and wheels straightened out. Thank you to everyone who looked, commented, and followed along. -

Finished the interior and got some paint on the body. Not sure why the body looks like an eggshell but I'm tired of fighting with it so that's the way it's going to stay. Waiting for the body to get good and dry so I can detail around the windows, etc. and put some decals on it. Ultimately hoping to produce a car that a local business owner who lives to race but is forced to work might race on the weekends at his local track using the car to promote his business so he can write his hobby off as a tax deduction! -

Finally got some time to work on this project. Here’s what I got so far. Painted the interior yesterday hoping I can start detailing today. As far as the body goes all that’s left is to sand, fill, and prime repeatedly… -

Wow, everything about that is awesome! -
Many thanks to everyone who responded for the kind words and encouragement. It is much appreciated!

That's just too cool. Would look right at home parked on the beach.

Looks great. Love the way it's familiar but also distinctly different. I could see a 1/1 leading to many arguments about what kind of car it is. ?

Looks Great! Love the Paint.

I would like to once again thank everyone on the forum who takes the time to teach and share. I have always loved 57 Chevy’s. Despite this I never attempted to build one because I knew I would not be able to get the multiple little details in the body and interior correct. However, applying techniques and knowledge I have learned from others here, I finally felt confident enough to take one on. While this one will never be a contest winner, I’m very happy with the way it came out. As always, thanks for looking.

Wow that's a great story, thanks for sharing. As a guy that has spent some time in a police car (the front not the back ?). I'd say you were very lucky the car didn't end up on it's roof. Glad to hear everyone walked away unscathed. -

Thanks for the response. I'm looking to build a track car to the extent my skill level will allow. At this point I'm planning to keep everything under the body OOB. Looking to upgrade the interior with a roll cage and racing seats. Thanks for the encouragement, I might need it! ? -
Very nice! I always suspected there was a cool car hiding somewhere under all that drabness. Great vision!

Wasn’t exactly sure what to call or where to place this 77 AMT Pinto with an MPC Fiero Body Kit. Hopefully, I didn’t completely miss the mark. I’m really swinging for the fences with this one as it might be well above my skill level. Never cared for the look of the full back window Pinto’s so that was the first thing to go. Got a couple pieces of the body kit on and it doesn’t look too bad. Time will tell if I can turn it into the vision I have in my head or if it becomes a waking nightmare. More to come, thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

Okay so I have to admit that I was trying to do two things at once when I first opened this feed and scrolled all the way to the bottom to get past the pictures of the "real" junkyard so I could see the diorama. Of course that's when it hit me that I was looking at the diorama all along. Incredible work, just incredible.

Very nice, hard to believe it was all done in a week. Good Job

Looks great. You more than met your goal of replicating the original ?
