29 Ford Rat Rod
Just Jim replied to Just Jim's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks, the front axle sits on the very end of the frame (where the front bumper would normally attach) on top of two small blocks I used to get the truck as low as I wanted. The contact points are very small and the front end will probably end up falling off with the least little bit of handling. Might be able to post some close-up photos if you want. Just let me know. -
Built from the kit shown. Wheels and tires from the parts box, beer keg gas tank from my sons 3D Printer, hand fabricated the roof. As always thanks for looking.

Your weathering looks great. I just started on a 29 Ford Roadster Pick-Up I'm hoping to turn into a Rat Rod. Was looking for an easy and convincing way to weather it. Your method is both. Thanks for sharing. -

The 2022 Cannonball Run Year of Birth Build Thread
Just Jim replied to disconovaman's topic in Community Builds
1969 Karmann Ghia calling done. My first attempt at building a 3D printed body. Turned out to be more of challenge than my model building skill level could muster. Thus, I gained a lot of “experience” for next time! ? Not my best effort to be sure but I’m satisfied with how it came out. Regardless, it was fun to be able to hang out with cool kids for a while and be a part of this annual tradition. Looking forward to next year. As always, thanks for looking. -
Thanks! It is totally awesome to know someone so far away can enjoy my builds. I am lucky enough to have been to France a few times. Beautiful place. Great scenery, rich history, beautiful art, and do not even get me started on the food!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I started with a glue bomb 57 T-Bird. The jet engines are from a War Hammer vehicle. Good luck, I look forward to seeing your build!

If I can just get a couple of days of decent weather, I should be able to finish up my current project. After that, this one is next. My entry for this years Cannon Ball Run, it is my first 3D Printed body (purchased). Ultimately it may end up being a little beyond my capabilities but I feel confident I can make it look good on the shelf.
