  1. Getting closer to “under glass”. The front valance is a challenge! Here is where I’m at
  2. I am really starting to realize why the kits have such a bad reputation! Ther is no way that I can figure that the distributor will will fir and the chassis doesn’t really fit the body. I know we all see these kits as “ challenge accepted “ but this kit really doesn’t work very well with the parts that came with it. Here is where I am: The wheels I bought are way too small, so the old Crager SS is what I’ll use
  3. Glad you can use them.!
  4. Came out great. Nice work
  5. Really looks good!
  6. I use windsheild washer fluid that I bought at the grocery store. Nothing fancy at all.
  7. I got the body polished and waxed and started the final assembly. I'm trying not to rush and screw anything up. I'll do a little more tonight. I think it's coming out nice
  8. Really looking good!
  9. I’m with ya on the tube glue (except windows!). The airbrush is a new thing to me. Really having fun with it. Thanks for the compliment
  10. Thanks Steve! I’ll have to look into those
  11. Those dashes look amazing. Very nice detail work. I am also looking forward to see the shine go on
  12. Thanks Mike. Always learning
  13. I tried my hand at BMF for the first time on the window trim and door handles. One thing is clear. I need a better knife and more practice. I also polished the paint ( you can see a small spot under the back window where I nicked the paint trying to get the extra BMF off
  14. Thanks. Hopefully I'll get it finished tonight
  15. Thanks Mike. I have reviewed that thread on BMF and am going to try tonight wish me luck. You also have me thinking about changing the wheels and tires on '66 Mustang. Hopefuly can get back to that model tonight.
  16. I think he means chemically aggressive as "hot" and not necessarily the temp of the paint.
  17. Thanks. I used satin paint and then brown shoe polish over the seats and dash. I used a soft thick brush to apply it, then once it had dried, I used the same brush to polish it
  18. If I could have looked in the box before I bought it, I would have probabbly passed it over. I'm still having fun just trying to make it asnice as I can.
  19. nice work! looks great
  20. I'm builging one of these as well. Really awful! So much extra flash, it should have had a trench coat with it....
  21. Tanks for the tip! This kit is pretty awful. There really is no drip rails, and I certainly dont have the skills to fabricate them. I'm going to focus on the windshield and back window trim and see how it goes, if I am ok with it, I might try the vent windows, but the molding lines are not that great.
