  1. Those dashes look amazing. Very nice detail work. I am also looking forward to see the shine go on
  2. Thanks Mike. Always learning
  3. I tried my hand at BMF for the first time on the window trim and door handles. One thing is clear. I need a better knife and more practice. I also polished the paint ( you can see a small spot under the back window where I nicked the paint trying to get the extra BMF off
  4. Thanks. Hopefully I'll get it finished tonight
  5. Thanks Mike. I have reviewed that thread on BMF and am going to try tonight wish me luck. You also have me thinking about changing the wheels and tires on '66 Mustang. Hopefuly can get back to that model tonight.
  6. I think he means chemically aggressive as "hot" and not necessarily the temp of the paint.
  7. Thanks. I used satin paint and then brown shoe polish over the seats and dash. I used a soft thick brush to apply it, then once it had dried, I used the same brush to polish it
  8. If I could have looked in the box before I bought it, I would have probabbly passed it over. I'm still having fun just trying to make it asnice as I can.
  9. nice work! looks great
  10. I'm builging one of these as well. Really awful! So much extra flash, it should have had a trench coat with it....
  11. Tanks for the tip! This kit is pretty awful. There really is no drip rails, and I certainly dont have the skills to fabricate them. I'm going to focus on the windshield and back window trim and see how it goes, if I am ok with it, I might try the vent windows, but the molding lines are not that great.
  12. Very nice! The paint looks great.
  13. Thank you for the kind words. I do believe this was the Dukes of Hazzard kit, but molded in black. This kit has taken a lot of work, as there was flash everywhere, took some time to trim and sand it out.
  14. Hey Mike. I have the charger build happening in wip along with the ‘66 mustang. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Did you get my pm about the decals? You should have them in the next couple days
  15. Looking great! The Green and tan fit nicely. I am building a green charger with tan/ brown interior as well
  16. Welcome. Your work looks fine!
  17. I picked up a sheet of BMF at the hobby shop and am going to try to do the window trim on the 69 Country Charger I am building. Should I cut a piece big enough to cover the whole window opening to do it all in one piece, or can I do 4 thinner pieces to frame it in? any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated chaz
  18. This is a nice kit. It has been fun to build for me. Not overly challenging and the parts fit well together. I recommend getting one for yourself. The windows have been my only hang up. They are close in size to the opening. The quarter panel windows really didn’t fit at all, I didn’t use them since I put the louvers on.
  19. Ok. Finally got the new windshield today and carefully glued it in place. I’ll let it sit for a day or two and then start final assembly
  20. Oh....you can se the engine being built in the background. Sitting pretty on the engine stand that Casey sent me. Thanks Casey!
  21. Been working away at the interior of the charger and got the new wheels together i think it is kind of an odd color, but I also think is looks good with the green body
  22. I just bought some of that clear and am itching to try it!
  23. Looks great!
  24. Outstanding!
