Well, that's the third model of yours I just finished oogling at! Your models a certifiably awesome! Beautiful... like they were somehow dipped in paint! Paint, and C/F!
  2. Dat's slick. Real sharp. Wheels look 'right' on this. Interesting lower valance... front & back. Source?
  3. That car always caught my eye! A unique kustom by a unique caricature! I wonder if Bill Hines is still with us? He's no "spring chicken"! I bet they will bury him with that unlit cigar! I bet he wouldn't have it any other way. BTW, the board has "edit" and "delete" functions. You can delete a double post, as long as it has no replies, afaik.
  4. You're off to a GREAT start! Remember, it's only plastic!
  5. Link for vendors list... http://www.nnleast.com/vendors.html
  6. "it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow." –Jay Leno
  7. You can see Norm's finned Buick drums in the center of the pic below... They were mastered by Bob Dudek, from this: BTW, I went to the link that George provided, and I must say, Dan does make some impressive stuff! I do notice that he does not mention where he is. That matters to me... I just want to know where the vendor is. He does appear to offer an e-mail contact, as well as Facebook.
  8. Awesome looking Focus. It will be interesting to hear how well it goes together. Is it in the lineup for its spot on your workbench?

I agree... that hardtop look is sweet!
  10. Dang that's nice! Did you make your own decals?
  11. Mags always seem to reach the store shelves before subscribers get theirs. Prob because they already have subscribers $$$, so they concentrate on stocking the shelves first.
  12. I like the seat.
  13. Yeah, but when you come right down to it, copyright technically affects almost everything sold currently by aftermarket. I suspect that the aftermarket's quantity is so low, it's not worth it for any large business to complain... with the possible exception of the 1:1 tire manufacturers. More likely, what you said about cuts and embossing costs would be the real deal breaker. My bro-in-law markets custom picture matting. He has a computerized mat cutter that, if programmed, could cut these displays like that! (snaps finger) Like I said, it can be done.
  14. Much better. Better on the ride height, better on the grille black out.
  15. So, someone may be reproducing these, but at the moment they are not available? I think there is a golden opportunity here for any of our aftermarket vendors to stick their foot in the proverbial door here, so to speak. Essentially, it is just a print! I don't know if a die cut would also be needed. Someone needs to find a way to make these available any time, not just an occasional auction site sale, and to do so at a reasonable price. Spare us all that corporate "cost and marketing analysis" bunk. It will, however, require a "can do" attitude.
  16. I found this pic a while back; maybe from Albert Wallace? Don't have any other info.
  17. It will soon appear in the new Batman movie "BATMAN- The Geek Years".
  18. What a build! The width of that body reminds me of... Overall, that... is similar to... I'm sure this will be another home run.
  19. Fantastic job, Bob! The build and the decals are perfect.
  20. Stock up? Maybe kits... and some spray paint. Any other supplies I would chalk it up to miscellaneous or entertainment expense, something you would incur weather you build models, or bird feeders. If model building is your #1 vice, well... it's probably cheaper than taking a 24 pack of beer home every night.
  21. You have the right idea. You don't need an airbrush this early on. Spray cans work fine. Shake 'em up good. Each pass should overlap the previous pass about 50%. If you mess up the paint, no problem. Just place it in a small plastic "shoe box" sized tub filled with "Super Clean" or "Westley's Tire White". Use an old tooth brush to scrub it, then wash with unscented dish washing liquid. There are many different tuitorials here on this board. The search feature can find them. Welcome to the board, and good luck.
  22. I won the club raffle yesterday. Grabbed another Ala Kart. That "mini" Red Ram Hemi fits so nice into tight spaces! Chrome reverse set ain't too bad either.
