  1. Truth in advertising.
  2. A stripped body shell of a Stude on a trailer... what a great idea for a model build. Too bad I don't have the time for it.
  3. My left eye is spinning clockwise, my right eye is spinning counter-clockwise. I mutter vague profanities. I bit my tongue because it was hanging out. It's metal... and yet, more detailed than plastic. Oh, and it's un-freakin'-believeable! Like seeing a UFO, I don't know how, I just know it is AMAZING!
  4. Looks like they went e-zine. I would rather have that, then nothing at all. Is Rod & Custom a diff publisher then either Street Rodder, or Custom Rodder was?
  5. Hey, Don! That all looks good! That color looks right on the '37 Are you going to either clearcoat, or wet sand the paint? I can't really see the finish... I'm not judging. Keep on building!
  6. Some of these cottage industry vendors are such small time businesses; they don't have the time or resources to use technology for promotion. Seems like us modelers could help fill in the gaps, yes? If you have any photos of the products of this vendor, maybe we should share that here. Here is a link to a few pics I have. Note that my photos are not necessarily mine; I give credit where I can. Also, you can search for what you are looking for as the album is listed alphabetically. http://public.fotki.com/JCole/models_misc/page4.html A few samples:
  7. Someone should market reproductions! Unless someone already is? Like the source that Casey referred to. Anyone else?
  8. What's not to like? Looks great! What I can see of the interior, that looks good too!
  9. No reason, I just didn't know if you were experienced with it... sounds like you are! Some newbies may not realize that resin requires diff. glue. I have been building (the second time around) since 1989, and I have yet to build a resin body! Although I am working on a pickup w/ resin cab, that will be my first. Hope you get that resin Cad.
  10. We don't get to see many of those on workbench!
  11. Niiice! My local hobby shop has (had?) that kit... if it's still there today, I'm buyin' it!
  12. Built by Chip Bailey from NH. That build got him the top award @ the 2001 NNL East.
  13. I have seen motorcades for fallen soldiers last year. It is stunning to witness. Over 70 motorcycles, police cruisers and fire trucks parked along the road w/ lights flashing... people just standing by the road. Godspeed, Cpl. Jonathan Turner.
  14. Actually, I am really looking forward to this! Thanks for the heads up, Mike!
  15. Awesome! And they can have the local street gangs shoot the tires out contest! Don't they name streets in Springfield by the crimes noted at that location? "Yeah, go a ways down Muggers Mile, hang a right at shotgun swerve. Slow down at the burned out cop car; the next left is Arson Alley. When you reach The Hooker Highlands you slow down, cause you want to veer left at the chaulk corpse outline in the street."
  16. You should keep an eye on this album: New Kit Reviews http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showforum=19 Always talk on what's new!
  17. I have a buddy in the hobby who will be asked to deal with it... he's a good guy, he can dole it out as he wishes. Keep some for himself, the rest goes to my club to auction off at the annual kit auction event. I just want the missus to get some $$$ from it. After all, some of it was bought with her $$$!
  18. BTW, this is all I got with my resin, no instructions.
  19. What type of fuel are you running your computer on?
  20. Those spokes look so fine, I guessed real. If not, then it must be a large scale
  21. WOW! Did it get in your basement? Is it in your car(s)? Best of luck to you.
  22. Great drop top bug!
  23. Good start! What is the source of that engine?
