  1. Man, I am so happy to find these! I used to do quite a bit of sketching back then. I haven't done a picture in decades. Here is one of them...
  2. You can build a fairly good 2D from the Monogram kit. If you find one, it shouldn’t cost too much. Only the top of the engine will be visible. I used the block from the Beer Wagon, which needed a platform to raise it to the correct height. The wheels are from Perry’s, and would be difficult to find now. This is the kit:
  3. Try typing "Chaparral" into the search feature. There have been a few shown on this board.
  4. Nevvah hoid of it!
  5. Wow... snowing in Phoenix! The weather has been out of whack for quite a while now. A meteorologist once explained "global warming" as out of balance weather patterns, and extremes that continue over a period of time. Whoever named it "global warming" really blew it. Even unusually cold weather can be a result of these screwy weather patterns.
  6. I am hoping for a better year ahead. This year was a bust as far as building goes. I completely lost motivation. Here's to looking for a better future. Happy New Year to my hobby board family!
  7. Kane, that has to be one of the best... the cleanest looking 'stang coupes I have seen here! Congrats!
  8. Peter, I don't think I have ever seen anyone else display such a classic display! Nothing else compares. Good job, bud!
  9. Dang! Both look great!
  10. That is a great custom! I found this pic... probably a photoshop? Bring it to life!
  11. The holiday is way too stressful. This year I was running around looking for what amounted to worthless trinkets just so I could fill the wifes Christmas stocking. Why? Such a hassle. We have no kids, but my wife loves Christmas. I already suggested to her that next year, we are doing a "3 & 3"... three wrapped gifts under the tree, and three items in the stocking. She agreed. Yeaaa!
  12. Here is that Mustang I mentioned...
  13. THIS is what the media calls a Plymouth Barracuda! Video @: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=12464511
  14. Floods of water, then mud trashing property in the southwest. I have noticed on TV a few glimpses of classic cars in the muck. A 1955 or thereabout Chevy pickup in a driveway, a first series Mustang half buried. Anyone know of any others? Of course I mean no disrespect to those who lost far more important property. On a related bizarre note, a man wanted to show friends his Plymouth Barracuda, took a wrong turn in the gated community, and ended up on the Bush Compound in Texas. Secret Service was not amused. NOTE: I caught a glimpse on TV of the car, looks more like a 70’s era Mercury Cougar.
  15. I have the ERTL / ESCI issue, which may be the same tool(?) and it looks to be as advertised @ 1/24

    T bucket

That is how I would build it. Even the color is right!
  17. I believe it is real!
  18. Scale snob here! But, not between 1/24 and 1/25. Those two scales can be placed side by side as far as I am concerned. It's the small stuff... 1/32 or smaller, and large scale... 1/20 or larger, that just don't fit in with my display. Some day, I want to try the other scales, as long as I can park them away somewhere else.
  19. Wow! Harry... you made me work for this one! I just sent pm to you. Good game!
  20. K- Now that's the cat's nads!
  21. So Kewl! Gonna look great next to your Lug Bug!
  22. "Zombie Claus"! I think I now know what I want on my front lawn!!!!
  23. Can someone explain what is wrong with the front bumper?
  24. Oh, btw Darin, God knows this entire thread had not one letter of silliness before I posted.
