  1. Nice! Clean! How was laying down that much carbon fiber to cover the hood?
  2. Good tip! I have seen those (IIRC) in auto resto catalogs (such as Eastwood's) never thought about using them on plastic! That alone was worth the $100. I paid Gregg to join this forum!
  3. Perfect 60's car. Aunt Bea drives it during the day, by night it's a detective's car. Nice job!
  4. Very well done! First time I have seen a vinyl top added... it works.
  5. Jim, they are well worth it too! I have only two handles, I keep triangles on both.
  6. I have seen cars done like that! Chrome is shot, so they spray can the bumpers flat black... and always chips off a little. That looks true!
  7. Surprising how good looking those 300 wheels look on that! Glad I don't have to choose between those or the steelies!
  8. Chuck... that would fit right in with my presidential limousine collection. Of course, Conni's make awesome street cruisers too!
  9. I really like this! I have to send a link to my nephew, who is 16 (IIRC) and also a Beatles fan. He even looks similar to John Lennon!
  10. Nice 'stealth' look!
  11. That it is
  12. Real nice! Like the detailing on the carbs
  13. You show us pics, we'll tell ya what we think!
  14. We're going to need a tetanus shot after looking!
  15. Cat's not just happy... it's wired! Kitty need another Latte?
  16. DISAGREE! Apologizing is NEVER a sign of weakness! Where did you get that load? The truth is just the opposite... it takes a good person to apologize! And don't even try the "I was joking" line.... I didn't just roll off the back of the ol' potato cart yesterday.
  17. Chuck... you get "Avatar of the Week" nod!
  18. Andy... leave it to you to make that observation! I used to display my alter-ego, anything from "Bloom County". Especially 'Bill the Cat', the most pathetic of all cartoon cats! But nowadays, I am much too mature to ever display such nonsense!
  19. John, that is one eye-searing deuce coupe you have there!
  20. IIRC, Boyd's paints are somewhat more translucent than most, and have a tendacy for the paint to 'pull away' from edges... such as seams. The end result is the underlying color is still visible on both sides of each edge or seam. Consider using a similar color base coat under the Boyd's.
  21. Aluminum or brass sheet stock (which, I admit, I have no experience working with) That can be purchased at any good hobby shop. Look for the K&S Metal display. I would first start my making a thin cardboard mockup, so you can cut the exact size strips, and learn where to make the bends. Better yet, I suspect that louver is available in another Mustang, if such is the case, someone here will speak up I am sure.
  22. Romell- You don't need to apologize for anything! You had an opinion, and you voiced it! I do the same thing! I think we all do, to some degree or another. Perhaps things went south as I do not find the post any longer? I don't know... I hate it when things disappear without a trace. Look- your builds ROCK! Your BIG GREEN truck is amazing. We are fortunate to have skilled builders on this forum, and you are indeed one of those. But this internet... man, trying to voice an opinion without it coming out sounding 'wonky' can be difficult! It seems that if there is even a slight chance that something may come out wrong, or be misconstrued, odds are, it will. Just grin, and keep on going! Build on!
  23. Turns out, the trick to fixing that style line was to sand away more filler, not add more. Who knew?
  24. Ed! It looks FINE! No, actually BETTER than fine! Keep it as-is! Clear enamel over white... today, will be yellow enamel over white... tomorrow. I learned the hard way too. In fact, I now try to avoid clear coat on solid colors. I only clear coat metallic colors.
