  1. What you just described is a full-detailed build for me! Can't go wrong with a blue big-block Corvette roadster!
  2. I start with the engine, but I try to paint the body ASAP so it has plenty of time to cure. Even if I cure it in a dehydrator, that is just the way I do it.
  3. You need the right tool(s) to get the job done! Buy a twist drill, and a set of jewelers (hobby) size drill bits. They are the ones that go from #60, to #80 sizes. That way you can drill for your plug wires, coolant hoses, etc. Oh, and try a Word Processor program. It's a caps & punctuation thing.
  4. "trogdor", In a nutshell... much ado about nothing. Not to fear. You are an individual, and unique...just like everyone else here! If someone wanted to bother you, this web site won't make a bit of difference to them one way or the other.
  5. Can someone please post what the visual differences are between the concept car, vs. the 2010 production car?
  6. Do you mean the http address across the top? http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/profile.php?id=100001326996457&v=wall&ref=ts
  7. I like it! I like the color too!
  8. What I was expecting to see...
  9. What an awesome piece of junk! I ran the text from the first pic through a translation service... Hello Buntbahner, I would like to present you today a small Diorama on a scale 1:22.5. Following a proposal of Tom Yorke, which into a amerikaischen high-speed lunch (Diner) converted a streetcar car of LGB Gnomy, a cast-off bus one converted here. The Etablissement is called, likewise following Tom Yorke, " Rosita' s (Diner) ". Built the Diorama my brother Jürgen, a highly gifted model construction amateur. Its signature is in the left rear corner, whereby also the cigarette and the Kaffeepott are on all to its modules. The Diorama has a size of 25 times 38 cm. There bus model instead of from the E-bay, the guest of Preiser. The remainder is built. Looks Hatty The back .die chocolate side
  10. That is nice! Good save. And once you get used to BMF, you'll wonder how you ever built without it!
  11. LOL! I've never heard them referred to them as such, but that title does make sense!
  12. No BMF around the windows?
  13. Nice set up with the wheels and all. Keep us posted!
  14. Woo-ha! True flames! It's one thing to do them in scale, but something else to do 1:1 flames! Bravo!
  15. Chrysler didn't (or wouldn't) find the capitol to upgrade the PT. Then Cerberus came aboard and totally screwed the pooch. It has been written that its lack of development was its downfall. I loved the concept version, but the production car was underwhelming.
  16. Life in the 60's was indeed simpler. Not necessarily better. We have cell phones. I hate cell phones. Yet, I wouldn't go anywhere without one. This laptop I am using? A total pita! Yet I would never dream of going without. We have a DVD player and a VCR, but as far as I am concerned, they too are a pita. And each has a remote where 3/4 of the buttons seem to do nothing, afaik. Every gadget we buy comes with an instruction manual that is in several languages, most in the same book so we cannot trash the foreign books. My car has so many darn computers and features, I had to carry the manual with me for a month. I still ignore the "trip computer" with it's fourteen freakin' functions. Yet, as noted previously by someone else, we were a lot younger back in the 60's... of course things were easier then! Everything is easier for most pre-teens!
  17. How I deal with trades: I don't. No problems, no headaches. Maybe someday I will, but I would rather trade or buy face-to-face. Meantime, I can ask friends via e-mail, Facebook, or club newsletter for parts or kits. If I do ever use the "trade" feature here, I would use "good trader" posts to make my decision.
  18. Is it house trained?
  19. Nice 300, Rick! They do make nice kustoms. FYI, are you aware you can edit, or even delete your own post(s)? You have some photos that didn't work, you can delete those. Just open the post, and choose "EDIT" or "DELETE" on the lower right.
  20. Actually, I have had a hard time using search. I recently tried to find an old post of mine using the year and brand of car I used in the topic title. I could get one, or the other. Not so easy finding both together. So I tried using a "plus" sign (+) between each. Still no luck. With blank spaces, or without, didn't make any difference. Apparently I am still a 'puter doofus.
  21. Nice cats!
  22. That is kewl! Lots of work there.
