  1. Skip- You are correct. The current Charger does not deserve the 'Charger' nameplate. I like the Charger... but not as much now as I did 5 years ago. I have seen the nose on the next design, nothing to write home about.
  2. Sounds like if this was meant for in-house corporate-speak only, then they really screwed up the "message management". GM, too many corporate meetings, too little substance.

While the build is not my style, the quality of the design is fantastic. Really sharp graphics!
  4. Sweet Jeezus! Oh, that is just soo rightous!
  5. I think you would find that most builders will pirate these parts from other kits, as we call "kitbashing". What kits do you have? What grilles do you like? Many builders have a wide variety of kits, and some of these kits would have both a stock and a custom grille. Tell us what your situation is.
  6. PONTIAC 1984 FIERO '84 INDY 500 PACE CAR... 1988... IMSA GTU.... Widebody kit... PONTIAC Fiero with a front engine conversion; tubbed...
  7. Amazing! How did you build a channel for the window? It would be easy for someone to not notice there are two upright strips, with just enough of a gap for the windscreen! That is good work!
  8. I have pics that I have collected over the years from these boards... use the link below. All the Alfas shown are Tamiya 1/24 scale. None are built by me. The pic's are listed alphabetically. http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_car_shows/misc_model_contests/
  9. OH YEAH! The 'moose hits another home run!
  10. "You model builders always complaining about clogged nozzles??? THERE! We fixed it!" -Testors
  11. The mans reputation is legendary in this hobby. One of my personal goals in life is to avoid as much stress as I can, as I cannot avoid all of it. Based on what I have gone through, I will never deal with him via mail order again. He makes good stuff tho, so I will only buy it if it is right there in front of me. But to mail order? No way.
  12. When it comes to Ferrari, I know there are some amazing large scale replicas out there... so I voted MODEL.
  13. My '67 Corvair Monza, built many moons ago from the Prestige Series '69 Hardtop kit. I think the R&R (or was it F&F? I always get the two mixed up) top boot was for a Falcon. The wire hubcaps from a JoHan '68 Chrysler 300.
  14. Lately there has been sporadic problems with both Photobucket and Fotki. The problems will disappear. It sure gets frustrating in the meantime tho!
  15. If you must make your own, please make sure they look the part! I have been noticing builders on these message boards using wiring that looks like it would be better scaled for garden hose! That is why I suggest the best way to go is to buy wire that is packaged for 1/25 scale plug wires. Not only are you getting the correct scale, but you are also helping the hobby by supporting the model car aftermarket.
  16. Nice work! Love the fact that it's a base model.
  17. "Business coupe" 'Cause it looks all business.
  18. Pat, That sucks. I know first hand, our finished basement has been flooded twice. With raw sewage. Of course, that was a long time ago. Hope you can salvage anything valuable. Perhaps people here can donate replacement boxes to you as they build their kits?
  19. Actually, I believe that Testors has a spray called "Battleship Grey". I don't know if that is the one for you, or Gloss Gull Grey. With so little color reference material available, you may have to use that 40's era car photo above as a color chip. I also noticed in my original Google search that some cars appeared in either dark blue, or black. Still others were olive drab... maybe they were not Navy specific photos? Not every photo on the net is accurate (I think I just made an understatement!)
  20. Welcome to our place! Check out the "Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials" section, there is a tuitorial I believe pinned at the top of that page that may be of some help. If not, bounce the Q back to the top and ask again.
  21. I was at the local Mopar dealer last September when a truckload of new Chargers came in. Wish I had my camera with me! That would be a great time to check out cars
  22. Yep, David! That's gonna look fine! Pure 60's!
  23. While there are several desirable rides pictured, that '59 Fairlane really speaks to me! My uncle had a '59 retractable, and in black too.
