  1. If you must make your own, please make sure they look the part! I have been noticing builders on these message boards using wiring that looks like it would be better scaled for garden hose! That is why I suggest the best way to go is to buy wire that is packaged for 1/25 scale plug wires. Not only are you getting the correct scale, but you are also helping the hobby by supporting the model car aftermarket.
  2. Nice work! Love the fact that it's a base model.
  3. "Business coupe" 'Cause it looks all business.
  4. Pat, That sucks. I know first hand, our finished basement has been flooded twice. With raw sewage. Of course, that was a long time ago. Hope you can salvage anything valuable. Perhaps people here can donate replacement boxes to you as they build their kits?
  5. Actually, I believe that Testors has a spray called "Battleship Grey". I don't know if that is the one for you, or Gloss Gull Grey. With so little color reference material available, you may have to use that 40's era car photo above as a color chip. I also noticed in my original Google search that some cars appeared in either dark blue, or black. Still others were olive drab... maybe they were not Navy specific photos? Not every photo on the net is accurate (I think I just made an understatement!)
  6. Welcome to our place! Check out the "Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials" section, there is a tuitorial I believe pinned at the top of that page that may be of some help. If not, bounce the Q back to the top and ask again.
  7. I was at the local Mopar dealer last September when a truckload of new Chargers came in. Wish I had my camera with me! That would be a great time to check out cars
  8. Yep, David! That's gonna look fine! Pure 60's!
  9. While there are several desirable rides pictured, that '59 Fairlane really speaks to me! My uncle had a '59 retractable, and in black too.
  10. Want to pet it, and feed it carrots...
  11. You did that kit justice!
  12. Google... it's a wonderful thing. I found this pic on the first page of a Google Image search. I hope the pic works... I am not saving to post this time.
  13. Tim- Your links don't work because of the "My link" text... try these: http://public.fotki.com/funman1712/sins-of-styrene/ http://public.fotki.com/funman1712/2010-sins-of-steel-/
  14. Bob brings up a good point... we have been waiting FIVE YEARS for that Charger police car, and they still haven't managed to put the dang kit on the shelves! I would love to build one, but after five years... I don't want excuses, I want the kit. And I really don't care who makes the kit at this point. We need Revell or some other company to step up here!
  15. He won't think it's funny when they install the boom!
  16. I don’t think anyone should hold their breath waiting for a section on “Good And Bad Tradersâ€. What a nightmare that would be. Unless there is a “Goth/ I Hate Everything†section; that is where it could go. Also not going to see a “Petrolina†section. That is what “Dioramas†is for, or even "General". The “Recipe†section is iffy, yet just quirky enough to get the green light. Only if the recipe actually calls for model kit bits and pieces however.
  17. Yes, I saw that. The owner of that board seems to stir up much of the trouble. He needs to learn when to bite his tongue... or in this case, his keyboard fingers. Diplomacy is not one of his strong points.
  18. Wow! Don't look now, but there is a narc in a green car at the top of the page! Boy does it have "the look!"
  19. Great concept! What a beast that would be!
  20. Karmann Kabrio! I think it's gonna look good!
  21. "I was hit from behind" Yeah! That's what she told the cops! Just another bonehead! She is lucky to be alive! Wonder what she will do for an encore?
