  1. Does anyone here know of any issues building the AMT ’58 Plymouth Belvedere? Not only just the build, but also the alleged “rear window†issue. I recall comments that it was too narrow. True, or false? I did use the search feature, didn’t find any kit revues. Thanks.
  2. Bought this 1/24 Corvette Stingray "Sideswipe" Concept at the big box store a few weeks back, just uploaded...
  3. Forgivness or permission? Neither! I buy the friggin' model, and sneak it in the house when she ain't looking! I will have been happily married for 25 years this September.... it's an art form!
  4. I have one of those in my "finish it someday" pile... except mine is 1/24. That looks great for a 1/43 scale!
  5. Charles- Way cool Back Up Pickup! Totally unexpected. I believe this has been done in the 1:1 drag racing scene over the years!
  6. As stated, the Black Beauty was based on that. Which ironically a movie remake is in the works... Let's hope the $2500 car fares better than the movie car (crash was allegedly not in the script)
  7. Ideas? Also, check out my "Trans Am Racing" Fotki page... not just for Pontiacs http://public.fotki.com/JCole/trans-am-racing!/
  8. Todo lo que puedo decir es yo no sabe. Pensé que fijaría esto en un idioma extranjero porque me frustran. Translation- REAL
  9. How many Hookah hits per mile does it get? And how many "crew" did they go through to figure out how to change a tire on the fly? "I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE AFRAID OF DYING! GET OUT THERE AND CHANGE THAT TIRE!!!!
  10. I have more kits stacked up than I will ever open up, much less build. I really started slowing down on buying kits. In fact this year so far, I have purchased just one. Money is tight and I don't build like I used to. And the current MSRP's don't help either. I am still going to buy a Hudson kit when they hit the shelves. It is a beaut of a car! A man in a nearby town has a '54 Hornet convert. Another guy in that same town has a Hudson as well, and tho he still drives it, it really could use a resto. Factor in the stock car history of the marque, the fact that the car is a natural for customizing, plus the "Cars" movie awareness, and I feel it is a great choice. So even if the price is around the $30 range, I will buy it. That is the exception tho... I just cannot afford this hobby like I used to.
  11. Back, way back, I actually bought that... lump. Bob's price sounds more familiar than that EvilBay fantasy. Truely aweful... but at the time, it was the only Tucker 1/25 (or so) model around. I did the "chrome" in BMF, the paint in MM Enamal. Later, I started noticing air bubbles in the foil. I guess that resin wasn't done gassing out. There is a second pic, but I'll spare us.
  12. Actual seller name to do an E-Bay search is: frontier_resin_design Be sure to add the lower case hyphens
  13. Chris- This will look great next to your collection of E vehicles you had at the NNL East! How did you ever hear of this casting? Is this resin body still available?
  14. Do what you will.. I'm just here for the chicks & beer.
  15. Some people create art. Some people critique. We need more of the former, less of the latter.
  16. The point was to get Harry Pristovnik to respond. Mission accomplished.
  17. I've never joined one of these community builds... until now! I want in... I have always wanted to build the '60 Starliner, this will motivate me (hopefully!)
  18. How about some tips for applying decals to tires? I have done it, I first washed the tire with mineral spirits. Anyone else?
  19. I also need these parts (hood, grille, & bumpers) to complete the Flintstone casting. Would he have them?
  20. Tom, the 29 Woody is another blend of fantastic building & photography! And that stance... it's always perfect!
  21. Real. ...but it could be a model
  22. Mercury Adhesives has a small needle in the cap to help prevent clogging Check this link: http://www.airwildpilotshop.com/MoreInfo-1.asp?title=product&id=732
  23. WOW! Yellow never looked so good!
  24. Roger that! I am amazed the camera didn't burst into flames when the photo was taken!
  25. BMF. You cut "pinstripes", pick it up with tweezers, or on the tip of a #11 blade. Expect some trial & error.
