  1. Nice! I have a similar body here from Perry's that I bought several years ago at the NNL East. He who dies with the most resin bodies... wins! BTW, I spied the original uploaded photo of yours... plate looks familiar. Plus that door emblem... looks like it may be Manchester, NH?
  2. Always lookin' forward to a Dino build! Choose a color yet?
  3. Every limousine I have ever seen has at least two functional doors on the driver's side, one for the driver, the second door out back for the guests. BTW, this looks like a great build! You solved that alignment issue... keep going! BTW #2... nice job incorporating a formal roof line out back!
  4. I believe Bob Downie has also ordered Welly before from overseas. I sure would like to order a few. Not just the Jeep either. Please IM me if anyone knows the source... thanks!
  5. I was in "Comfy" mode... I tried the blue, but the logo upper left disappeared. I tried IBSkin Red but the tool bar in the reply window goes right smack across the middle! So, back to "Comfy"!
  6. Ohhh... the seventies. I can remember some of it I was driving a Ford Courier Pickup when I bought my first CB, thus the handle "Courier Kid"
  7. Afaik, Tamiya Putty is no longer available, at least here in the states. That's a shame too because it is good stuff. As others have indicated, you cannot go wrong with two-part polyster glazing putty. Any good automotive jobber should have it. It cures by chemical reaction, not evaporation! For you, that means less waiting. Gotta love that!
  8. eYYYY! OWW! Now I'm gonna need...
  9. It appears that the side window sills don't line up... I would think they should line up. Perhaps fill in the entire mid section? What color are you going to paint it? It would look good in "Limo" black with dark tint glass, via Tamiya window tint. Keep going with this!

Those Fujimi wheels... is each wheel a two piece unit? If so, I wish they were available in resin!
  11. Now that's some bizzarre stuff! But, you said two cars, all I could find that was close was the Blue Flame. Did I read that wrong? Anyhow, I thought it is an eggsellent idea (sorry... someone had to say that!)
  12. Some of that should be available through MicroMark. Send for the catalog if you haven't already. For the HoK paints, try Google to order direct. Perhaps you could contact via phone a well-stocked hobby store to ask if they will mail this stuff to you?
  13. Hey! I saw these great ref pics on another site... from a '62 Chevy brochure! Now we know what colors to use! Apparently, every V8 from that era was pained pink! Detail it with some blue on the carb, fuel pump, etc! If you transplant a six in the car, it's a black & blue... Now I was surprised by the trans... and all this time, I thought they were aluminum! Ditto with the frame! Again, pink! NOT black as previously thought! And that yellow suspension parts took me aback. All in all, a very educational find, if I do say so myself!
  14. So how much $$$ are they selling these little truffles for?
  15. That would be my first idea! Propably nothing "exclusive" tho... I mean, I bet most (if not all) we see finished, will be in a diorama... and a tree or a wall will be in there somewhere. I suggest for something diff, and maybe to make a bit of irony, a tree growing up through it! Green to an extreme!
  16. Like others have stated, I also join the ranks of "Hmmm..." Those wheel openings... well, the best thing to do is to wait and see. As long as the finished model looks good, that helps.
  17. Maybe you are planning on doing a review for one of the magazines?
  18. Tom, your work is always inspiring! And the A+ photography doesn't hurt either!
  19. Bradley, I think YOU can delete the duplicate post, as there are no replies as of now. Just check out the buttons at the bottom... [DELETE]
  20. I say it's a fine lookin' model! The model is fine, the exhaust tips are fine, there are more models to be built, time to move on to the next one.
  21. Someday I have to build a model of the Shelby version my wife had...
  22. Somewhere along the way, I missed the course on engine ID's. Now everytime I see talk of LT-1, Z06, etc I am lost. I am still stuck back in the days of 327, 350, and 427 cubic inches. Can someone please explain GM's "L" codes? Any other engine help would be appreciated. I do know Mopars new Hemi where an R/T is a 5.7L, and an SRT8 is a 6.1L Ford's 5.0L... I am "litre" challenged... how many cubic inches? Yeah, it's a bit embarrassing but I want to get this so I can move on. Thanks!
  23. One thing I did to quit drilling holes every time I needed to find out what size drill bit I needed, so I drilled and labeled each bit in a scrap piece of plastic. It saves me time.
  24. I'm glad that I am not the one who has to find photos of cars we may not have already seen! So yeah, why not go with a change!
  25. Thank you Tom.. AND CREW... for another great party! I did the nine hour round trip, and worth every minute!
