  1. Jeez, try to hand the guy an olive branch, and he pokes me with a sharp stick!
  2. That is by far one of the coolest looking Deoras I have seen yet! The trice-axled wires look just so right, giving a rich look to it. If it was 1:1, the owner would be rich!
  3. Two words... DamnCranky! He lives for patina!
  4. What? No fans of Tazmanian Yodelling? Go figgur....
  5. Nick, maybe I can contribute, even if not exactly what you requested? Check out the link for my "LICENCE PLATES" page... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/license-plates/ The next album I call "LOGOS, STICKERS, & SIGNS: auto related". MORE in alphabetical order @... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/logos_signs__euro_plates/
  6. Hey Jerry I'd love to partake, but I don't have anything to qualify. Although I do currently have my Ford 37/57 Pickem Up on my bench (OK... dining room table ) It MAY end up with the nailhead... is that a 312 ci? Besides, am I even allowed to partake in anything "Spotlight"? I did make some bad choices, and pay the price. Actually, Spotlight is a good board, lots of participation over there (yeah, I keep my eye on it) I hope you get some results here. Sharing between the boards can't hurt I say. Tell them to come on over here... most of us are clean, we have had all our shots, and most of us are house trained.

    68 elCamino

That... is one sweet ElCam! Perfect color. Perfect skins.
  8. Motorcycle engine from a Hallmark 1/24 ornament? They really aren't that bad.
  9. That car looks so good in Fathom Green! Do it justice!
  10. Using a Lamborghini as wall art is nice if you can afford it... I would rather have one as driveway art!
  11. Jim, workers at my local Wal-Mart look like that all the time!
  12. That's NOT a stupid question! There are no stupid questions... only stupid bosses. Yes I use Dupli Primer/Sealer on plastic, works fine. I use it as the "base" primer, adding other primers as needed over it.
  13. I prefer to work in peace and quiet. There is so little of that these days. I don't care for the radio stations around here... it's all yap, yap, yap. Non-stop commercials and yack with a song thrown in here and there. And like TV, the commercials are created by coked-out idiots who aim for the twelve year old brains. I would like to try satellite radio but I cannot afford another monthly payment. Only exception is during the season I will listen to the Red Sox game on TV.
  14. I think you did REAL good on this! It has the look! Are those defroster lines I see in the rear glass? Those are hard to replicate!
  15. Peter, Your Art Deco Aero Coupe is a masterpiece! I will look forward to seeing this (I hope) at the NNL East!
  16. This has to be one of the best P4's I have ever seen built! Stunning! And those rivets! How did you apply them?
  17. BUG BOMB! Can't go wrong with that!
  18. A common error on these Fords, the 'A' pillar should be chrome. Lucky it is easy to correct. I really like that fogged paint!
  19. Great tip, Daniel. Question- in the drawing, it appears you modified the tip of the hypo needle to form a auger point that will be offset from the center. I assume this assembly will work by the drill tip finding the center, and the "auger" will spin on the center axis. Is this correct?
  20. Like Bill said, just add plastic on the edge! What could be easier? You DO have plastic sheet, yes? That is just one supply every builder should have... styrene sheet in various thicknesses. I cut out a trunk on a '57 Ford using the back of a #11 blade, added the inner lip to the opening on the body for the trunk lid to rest on (one more reason to have plastic sheet on hand), then placed the trunk back in position... yep... gap is too big. Cut a piece of plastic, glue it to the trunk lid edge. When cured, I used the moto tool to take the excess 99% down, and finished it off with a sanding stick. I think it takes more work for me to type this out than to actually fill the gap! EDIT: BTW, in theory, on a four- sided body panel, you should need to add sheet stock to two of the four edges. I think adding plastic to all four edges would make the fit too tight.
  21. Terry, all nice Porsche cars. My two favorites would be the 917 longtail, and the 550 "LB". I would love to do a model of Dean's car. Thought I could do that with the resin from Jimmy Flintstone, but I couldn't find a reasonably priced 356 Fujimi or Testors donor kit, so I sold it. Hope you finish that one... and please make some windows for the "very early" '39 Porsche! You are sooo close! Good luck!
  22. Jason, your dad does fine work! Do you have any pics from a front angle?
