  1. You mean there's a difference?
  2. Correct you are, Doc! Some amazing talent there. And in the Pro Mod department, I must tip the hat to Del Paone. So much talent. Thank you all for sharing.
  3. Like Doc says, the creations of Bill Stillwagon are just outstanding! And he has to be one of the nicest people you will ever meet! The gold Bugatti Pickup shown of his is my favorite. Also, Mike, how do you get your Fotki photos to show at that size? Can you tell me what size setting you have? Thanks for all the pics!
  4. I have always liked the coupes, the undesirable sibling to the fastback. .
  5. There was even a model kit of it, although I think my box art looks diff than this-
  6. My favorite: the chase of the white Countach on an episode of Miami Vice. Clearly visible is two diff cars were used; a 5000 S with standard taillights, and a 5000 Quattrovalvole with the narrow taillights.
  7. That's better than my stuff!
  8. About the engine color, afaik the 1954 model year the factory switched engine color from gold to red. It may be a later model engine. Although I would guess by the overall "restored" look of this car that they sprayed the block & head in red, for whatever reason. Also wondering if that body and interior color could possibly be stock?
  9. Hey man! That's gonna be really cool, man! Well man, I'll tell ya how we can get a new plastic kit of this, man! All someone has to do is convince a diecast maker to do one! Then I'll buy it "Because we'll never see this again in plastic, man!" Just like I did with the diecast '55 Chrysler 300. Then those kool kats at Moebius issue the Chrysler in plastic! Man, now I'm stuck with a diecast! That's not groovy, man!
  10. Beautiful GT40. That is a vivid red!
  11. Unless... the Ebay ad.... is part of the joke? !
  12. I enjoy scratchbuilding. sometimes it works, sometimes not.
  13. If it made it that far without self-immolation! Maybe ask the fire dep't to follow you around... at least to AutoZone.
  14. Try my Fotki, I may have what you seek: http://public.fotki.com/JCole/11-porsche/956-962/page2.html
  15. I simulated a flat tire (a long time ago) by placing a piece of tin foil in a frying pan, and press straight down. Try it on a scrap tire first. Can't remember if I used a non-stick spray on the foil.
  16. If Model King / Moebius is doing this many diff variations on the Hudson, I can anticipate about that many '55 300's!
  17. Looks great! Ah, the '49 Merc... I remember that! From before the Hornet kit existed!
  18. You would think that for 376K, it could at least not erupt into flames for no apparent reason! Well... other than being an Italian supercar!
  19. Maybe. A '56 Windsor by Richard Zocchi. Could be adapted to the '55. This might work: .
  20. Off the top of my noggin', the tailights are diff. '55 300: Here is a '56 300B
  21. I like how that guy posing with the melted Lambo has turned into an internet meme. There a a few good ones. Jalopnik has them.
  22. Two, to be precise! First one you may have read Dave Van's announcement, but if not, here it is again: Coming soon from the great folks at Model King and Moebius Models is another great stock car legend racer!! We are finalizing the decals and boxart for the Marshall Teague 1953 Hudson Hornet. Due later this year, as soon as we have a firm ETA we will post the info. The painting for this box was done by noted automotive artist Dan McCrary. The decal art and box graphics were done by myself. I will post decals and built prototype model as soon as they are complete. PS....stay tuned.....we have more news soon!!! Now if that isn't enough, I just found this on another site: If you missed your chance to get a Tim Flock Hudson you will be getting a second chance at the stock car kit. The next Model King / Moebius kit will be the 1952 Marshall Teague Hudson stock car. Here's a peak at the new box art I've created. This kit will be available in 2 different versions. Dave Van has created decals for both the #6 and #1 cars. This one will have decals for the #6 gray car. The 1953 #1 black and white car will be available as a separate kit with different box art done by another artist. These are the best of times for model builders!
  23. Moto tool w/ a grind head. Whirrrr! Done. Oh, be sure to wear a dust mask! You don't want to breath that stuff.
