  1. Replicating the seat may be a good beginner subject to learn resin casting on. Just a thought.
  2. In the last few months, one of the two leading model mags (sorry, don't remember which) had a tip about filling tires with silicone. Wonder if that would help "fill out" that concave tire surface?
  3. Hey man! Can ya be a little more specific on what the TD Baja Bandito is? Like, what vehicle is it based on? Or, being a Tom Daniels kit, is it possible to tell? Try looking here... my "Model Box Art" pages. Listed alphabetically. Over 50 pages, so if you want to get to the "M"s, for instance, use the links @ top of the pages for shortcuts. http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_box_art/
  4. I tip my hat to you, sir! that... is amazing work! As well as eye straining!
  5. I wish Cow Hampster would do that. Problem is, those eagle-eyed law enforcement types like to keep an eye out for over due inspections... thus another reason to pull someone over. This, in turn, often leads to other charges. How many charges such as DUI started out as a simple overdue inspection stop? Or a burned out bulb? Or...
  6. NH insp stickers are amazingly easy to do even with a basic computer graphics program. Not only is it easy to replicate the front of the sticker, but the inside print as well. Get caught, and I am sure Big Bro won't be too impressed. Not worth it, imho.
  7. Like Mike expressed, if you don't want to build your own, I also recommend a Pace booth. It's American made, and a quality unit. The small unit I believe costs less than the booth from Micro-Mark.
  8. And this strife is why I don't even go into the trades section. I just don't need to open myself up to the hassles. Shame it has to be that way.
  9. Ninety nine dollars?! YIKES! No wonder this topic exists! Wish... the op had mentioned that price, would have spared some confusion. Oh well, no biggie!
  10. I don't understand. He is selling it for $24.75, about what the average model kit is selling for at my LHS. Plus, iirc, he includes free shipping. On top of that, isn't Lindberg either stagnant, if not outright out of business? If you had that kit to sell, what would you honestly sell it for? As for me, I don't FeeBay, so I'm just curious. Everyone wants a deal... until they become the seller. And who can blame them?
  11. So often photographed, but to find that photo... at that angle... nope. Or did I? I am going with "Real".
  12. Both look great!
  13. Have a great Birthday, Chuck!
  14. It's a British TV production, with British hosts, that filmed an episode here in the states, primarily for BBC audience (tho also shown here). So what does US Constitutional Protection have to do with it?
  15. Diggin' the wide whites! Manx is versitile enough to be a boulevard cruiser.
  16. PRIORITIES “That’s not fair! Not all of us can afford to spend that kind of money just for a hobby item!” …said the man at the register line holding a case of beer, and a carton of Marlboros.
  17. One of our own needs help. Jackie Cheyenne Whitecloud is unique, in that she is one of us. She loves cars, and she builds models. I have never met her in person, nor do I recall ever having a two-way communication with her. I do however remember her from her posts over at Spotlight board, back in the days it was called Hobby Heaven. Recently, Jackie has reached out to others in the hobby. She is in trouble. She seems like she may be a trusting and kind hearted soul, and sadly may have been taken advantage of. As a result, her world has crashed down around her. She has apparently lost everything; her home, her ex-squad car Crown Vic, her personal belongings, her money, and God knows what else. Dean Milano has said that she has now lost her food stamps. She has stated she may harm herself. Several of us in this hobby want to help her out, but at this time, we cannot even reach her. Jackie was more active on the Spotlight board than here. If you go to their message board, type here name into their search engine, but not the “find members” feature, use the “Messages containing any following key words”. Messages Containing Any of the Keywords: jackie, cheyenne, whitecloud Here is a link to Dean’s post over on Spotlight: http://wwwboard.spotlighthobbies.com/index.pl?read=1764214 Here is my idea: because she has expressed a desire to end life, can we ask the Modesto, Ca. police for help? The last time Jackie posted in the MCMB was in 2007. Below is a link to that post. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7002&st=20&p=49144&hl=+jackie%20+cheyenne%20+whitecloud&fromsearch=1&#entry49144

  19. Use the link you provided. Just make sure there is nothing to the LEFT of the http, and nothing to the right of jpg
  20. A '49 Linc! That is nice. How much jingle will it set me back? DO luv Lincolns!
  21. Poor ol' Roscoe! Nice, creative build there!
  22. YEAHHH! That's about the pillar of kewl! .
  23. Exactly why I have a Fotki account. And, I have more than just models there, for that same reason.
