  1. That I did, Darin.
  2. This pre-production has already been modded in RS trim; but due to its non-certification it cannot be legally driven on public roads. Hope they do not include the flower vase, that would certainly help diminish the 'girly' image the previous model (alledgedly) had.
  3. I suspect you already have this pic, as you made reference to the NY plate... If you cannot find a pic of the original plate, odds are, neither will anyone else. Hope that makes your choice a little easier.
  4. Jeff, we're gonna' refer to you as "Mr. Stang"!
  5. That first pic had me wonderin' if it was real, or Memorex?! Lookin' forward to this build.
  6. Good drawing. Reminds me of the stuff I used to draw... when I used to draw.
  7. Eating popcorn.
  8. Well, I agree that there is a bit much on the "rainbow & ponies" here!
  9. It IS hostile, x2. Ppl. need to show some class. Guy comes here; posts HIS build, HIS way, it's pathetic. If praise doesn't fit the post, then find a nicer way. Oh, also... I do NOT find any call-out from the board management to offer criticism. Nor is there any request for such from the op.
  10. Probably has a lot to do with the word "reputation" being used (no matter who brings it up). John is easily a top notch builder, but in no way should that qualification be chained to him like an iron ball to his ankle. I take this build only on its own merits. This is not a dig at you, or anyone else. It's just my own op.
  11. I went back to the beginning, and checked it all out. I fail to see what all the commotion is about. The top quote would be: "I like to build kits for myself...... in the end it may not be correct or accurate but.......it will be the way I like it........" So why do a few ppl. here want to turn it into an issue? Also consider this... why should I, or most anyone else for that matter, agree to subject themselves to posting their work here? Especially in light that some ppl. cannot remember the first post; stating the builders wishes? No matter HOW John builds it, that is his choice. Second-guessing his choices is not right.
  12. Top-notch work! Welcome to the board.
  13. I don't understand; their message board worked just fine... when Benjamin Franklin first created it.
  14. Fortunately, the driver suffered no ill effects
  15. Model. Besides the 'no weight' issue on the tires, I also feel the curve-in on the front of the cove is too extreme.
  16. ~Beautiful!~
  17. Wooden coffee stir sticks. Several diff 'colors' to choose from, in an old prescription bottle.
  18. So now the tooling is sitting out there... somewhere. I would think it wasn't immediately destroyed after the initial run. Now someone (here?) needs convince them to either sell the tooling to someone who knows how to market the kits, or reissue them with new box art. Otherwise, what an effort for what must have been a marginal return.
  19. Ah, but they are a work of art! Once you have it, most any Danbury Mint car, in front of you, it is hard not to be impressed. I care more for my DM cars (and Franklin Mint, to a lesser extent) than I do my own built models.
  20. Danbury Mint does the McMullen Roadster. Diecast haters need not apply http://www.danburymint.com/diecast/prod/847/Limited-Edition-McMullen-Roadster_0908-0086.aspx?source=3905&cm_mmc=DM-_-URL-_-danburymint.com%2fMcMullen-_-Limited_Edition_McMullen_Roadster
  21. Don't know about the diff between the two Krylons, but if they share the same type nozzles...
