  1. I got some Testor's paint on the body and it's been in the easy bake oven over night. Should be ready to clear tomorrow.
  2. Thanks man. I may still have some oven cleaner.
  3. I hear ya man. I appreciate the suggestion. That's a thought man. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion man.
  5. Thanks man. This is not going to be anything worth writing home to mammy about as the engine is not that detailed. It's pretty much curbside +. Only half an engine and no chassis.
  6. I built this AMT kit a couple years ago but didn't like the outcome so it sat in the box until now. I recently bought an M2 1957 Chevy model 150 1:24 scale all steel at HL and it came with an extra engine and set of wheels & tires. This model is a little big for a 1:24 scale so I thought how about a little goofy looking pickup so that's where the AMT 55 Chevy Cameo came into play. I decided to make a distributor and wire the engine. The body has been stripped and it has been painted red enamel. It currently setting in my easy bake oven to cure the paint. I am missing the rear passengers side bumper so not sure what I'm going to do at this point.
  7. The 55 body sat in 91% isopropyl for 3 day then two days in the purple pond. It did nothing but take little spots off. I sanded the body this morning with 400 grit and it still does not feel smooth and the body is starting to feel soft. I guess I'm admitting defeat on this one guys.
  8. That turned out nice Mario. I like the Tamiya Silver Leaf body color.
  9. Man...that is down in the weeds. I'm liking this one.
  10. Nice looking little Jag. That green looks Super nice.
  11. Love these little 32 Fords. Nice wheels & tires.
  12. Looking good. I like the two tone red interior.
  13. Nice looking Ranchero.
  14. Nice looking models. Hate to see anyone leave the hobby.
  15. Thanks for the info.
  16. I have some on hand. Maybe that is what I used before. I'll switch it over and see how it works.
  17. I thought the 91% Isopropyl Alcohol would remove this Tamiya TS rattle can paint. This is the second morning I've pulled it out of the tank and went over it with a toothbrush but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Maybe I was thinking about the Tamiya acrylic paint I normally use. I did get the Torque Thrust wheels and headers airbrushed with the Molotow chrome.
  18. Thanks Andreas. I hit a road block with having to strip the paint and it's not going as planned.
  19. Boy that looks pretty kewl. I built the 34 Modified.
  20. Great little trio of drag cars.
  21. Nice looking little Hot Rod. Nicely done. Love the blue.
  22. That suspenion work sets the body down just right. I'm digging it.
