Yeah, I need to get some paint on the body. I got a little side tracked. -
Good looking SS Nova. I like how the plate swings down to fill up with gas.

My wife works for the main headquarters for Atlas Van Line and she brought these home for me today. She said they have been in storage. She thinks there might be more. They are both 1953's and are made of cast iron and are very heavy.

Yup, that's why it's called Black Green. I just mixed it to be a little blacker. -

I did some paint testing this morning. It was 48° outside and the humidity was 73%. With the heater running in the garage it was about 72° and the humidity was around 48%. I shot the spoons with no primer with the custom Tamiya acrylic paint I mixed up which I'm calling Extra Black Green. This paint goes on flat until you hit it with the clear. After painting I put the spoons in the Dehydrator for about 1 hr 10 min at 113°. I then shot the Tamiya X-22 clear on and the spoons are once again in the Dehydrator for another hr or so. Whatya all think about the paint color? -

Well...what I did was take some measurements and mark out where I wanted to cut. Mark the opening smaller than what you want as you'll be sanding to clean up the opening. I use a #11 blade and go slow. Just keep going over your line until you see the cut line on the opposite side. Flip it over and finish your cut. Hope this helped. -

What a Great looking little Hot Rod. I love that color and it goes really nice along the black. That nice touch of yellow on the wooden slates just makes things pop. Nice job man. -
Pretty sharp looking build. Looks just like the box art. NIce job.

Nice looking Baby Bird. Your better half picked out a Great color. Great looking detail work. We have some friends that go with us to the car shows and they have a black 56 Thunderbird and it always looks sharp. I really like it. -

I got the engine wired, headers installed, and some black wash on the engine. I'll let everything set up and tomorrow I can glue the engine in place then start on cutting the opening in the hood for the blower.
