  1. I tried getting the foil on and I went into this thinking it was going to be bad. It turned out pretty good. There are area's that it didn't want to stick all that great but I'm pleased with the way it came out.
  2. I like it with the body on there James. It's gonna make a nice looking old school Hot Rod.
  3. I'm pretty sure I have tried the Rust-Oleum over Tamiya TS spray paint. Just can't remember I've tried so many different paints and clears. I have yet to have any kind of a reaction from one paint/clear to another. Try it on a spoon first. That's what I always do when it's something new.
  4. Thanks for the tip. 77......we keep the house at 68 in the winter months.
  5. I will work on it this summer. Thanks Luke.
  6. On the floaters....it's best to let the better half swat at them since I have two. That way she thinks she may have gotten one of them ☺ I've been using the Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear arcylic lacquer. I did a test last summer with the air brush. I sprayed Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear lacquer, Tamiya TS-13 Clear Gloss, and Pleadge Revieve-it. All three looked about the same. I have my test posted here somewhere.
  7. I hear ya on the Christmas tree Jim. The other day when it got below zero I did the bmf in the house. It's just that the bmf company is having a supplier issue and their new batches don't seem to be up to par.
  8. Haha....yeah I don't know. I'm hoping the bmf stays put. The wife finally decided it's time to take the Christmas tree and all the decoration down today. Probably get back on the 53 tomorrow if it's not to cold out in the garage.
  9. Thank's Jim. I've got the magnifing glasses but even with the decaf I'm not steady enough and the Molotow pen can't get back in those tight corners. I may have to give it a shot though.
  10. Thank's Francis. I remember seeing that show. Turned out to be a nice looking Gasser.
  11. Nice looking. My wife wants a 65/66 Mustang when she retires this year but that's going to be a little above her pay grade.
  12. Welcome aboard Raoul. Nice looking 41 Willys.
  13. Welcome aboard Steve.
  14. That's one slick looking 57 with that color combo. Nicely done.
  15. Nice looking Ford. Love that color combo.
  16. That just turned out so nice John. I really like the color and the foil work looks great. $20 well spent.
  17. That turned out super nice John. Post your pics Under Glass for others to see.
  18. Man, that is a good looking old school Hot Rod. Love the color and nice job on cutting those flames out free-hand on the bmf.
  19. Yeah buddy. It's always nice when you can get the chassis off the bench and on some rubber.
  20. Dave....is the silver base coat a primer or a silver that would be used for a finish coat?
  21. That's a good looking Chevy. Great craftsmanship. All the colors look spot on. Great job.
  22. Another one I missed before my time here. Great looking truck.
  23. Yeah this was before my time on MCM. That's one bad looking ride.
  24. Nice looking. I love that color with the flat clear. Great looking little grocery getter.
