  1. And good news for Michigan we could always use jobs here especially in the northern part of the state.
  2. Maybe there are some model car freaks at your post office
  3. Very nice!! Having owned one myself you did a good job from eyeball engineering. Now for the killer part! There was one available in resin quite some time ago but I can't remember who made it. But is was nice. A friend has one that needs a tailgate.
  4. That was great and a bit more colorful than the subs.
  5. It is a shame that it never caught on all that well I think the rodded flattie would look cool in a Revell 34 Ford!
  6. How about Hugger Orange or a Root Beer brown
  7. Some more clarification and confusion to the mix Revell's 1/24 Bronco is the old Monogram kit also shared suspension with their F150 Stepside. Revell's own 1/25 Bronco found with the speedboat and Police version has an incorrect leaf sprung TTB (which works well under the Mono. dually and F250). You could also use any of the MPC Bronco TTB for the 90's AMT truck kits to make them 4x4.
  8. You have chosen wisely!
  9. Project X just got easier now I can do it as it appeared in Hollywood Knights Oh Yeah!!!! However I now have a Black Widow kit up for trade
  10. I am using the Boss 302 from the AMT Cougar with a dual quad parts box intake. I am going to fab the ram air box.
  11. I am actually OK with the kit as I know it is not on par with the Revell offering (which I also have) but this is part of a same kit build project in a club I belong to.
  12. AMX 13 is also the chassis designation as several vehicles used that nomenclature followed by other numbers or letters depnding on the vehicle.
  13. It is located under the floorboard on the driver side under the pedal!!
  14. I am building the 69 Boss car of Peter Revson from the Shelby team and probably Horst Kwech or Dan Gurney.
  15. Well congrats to the Action Express Porsche team!!! Don't worry about no Mustangs as 4 or 5 Fords were in the top ten. Sad note that the Brumos team broke and Hurley Haywood ended his racing career on a sour note. It was his 37th 24 Daytona! He really is a class act! The real racing has started now. Let the "good ol' boy" gang kick off their season in a couple of weeks
  16. Thanks for the input gang It is also cool to see fellow Michiganders helping a brother out too!! The Kieth marks set is made for the Revell kit which is also visibly larger. I am going to have the company print the set at 2% smaller and go from there. The company is Pattos Place they have some very cool decals especially if you are into racing. http://members.optusnet.com.au/pattosplace/home.html
  17. One of the bad things about the originals is that some of the dimensions were off from the first two as "Luigi and Guido" misinterpreted the blue prints so the last 4 weren't exactly like the first two, story has it that the first two were the same the second two were identical to each other and the last two were identical to each other and the there was the John Wilment coupe also. Just some food for thought
  18. Does anyone know off hand what percentage this kit is smaller than 1/24? As there is a company that is willing to print me a particular set if I get him the % difference.
  19. Although too late, here is my .02 cents. I like the idea of Testors Light Ivory flattened out a little with a chocolate colored piping
  20. Ferrari V12 are awsome, however the sound of a 427 Ford in a GT40 screaming down the Mulsanne straight is something to behold also!!!!! As is a Hilborn injected 427 Cammer in an AF/X car blasting the quarter mile!!
  21. I don't have any pics of it built up, however it is a decent kit it is pretty simple as most of the old "Early Iron" but looks nice when done. I prefer doing the coupe version myself. so a little extra fitting is involved. It is nice that they have included the LaSalle grille again. If you are contemplating you may want to check Hobby Lobby site for coupon. That will ease some financial pain
  22. HMMMMMMM............. I may have to invest in cable or Sat. TV for the pizza shop seeing as I am there most of the time anyway!!!
  23. A buddy told me of a Revell 32 Sedan and an AMT 39 sedan for sale at a NASCAR diecast shop for $9.00 a piece so I went and snagged them up!!! The 39 is the Stevens repop.
  24. Wow you have piqued my curiousity!!!! Did you base this on the Wix Filters diecast?
  25. What color are you planning on the basecoat? From personal experience testors S.A.C. bomber tan is a very good base. The model looks very good so far keep us posted.
