I get most of my parts from AutoZone. Mostly because it's easy to do warranty exchanges. My vehicles are warrantied by AutoZone. I don't have to buy parts too often anymore, I've replaced most of them already. I also have a lot of spare used parts. I blew the head gaskets on my truck and cracked a head two weeks ago, ruined the flywheel starting the engine with water in the cylinders. I didn't have to buy a head or flywheel. My other truck the radiator failed internally and put water in the transmission, that is warrantied from Advance and it won't be here until Monday.

1973' Chevrolet El Camino
Tabbysdaddy replied to Sergey's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
This is very cool, but no shock would be mounted to the backing plates. -
Lots of pickup trucks had a gas tank right behind the seat and without modern safety design. This looks much safer than those. Looks cool so far.

I would buy it because it's a van, but would prefer something closer to stock. The Ford Econoline at least is closer to stock than those. -
That's cool. I want one to build my mothers old 'Vette.

I would be interested in the fuel injected version to build my 87. With a 5 speed. -

I told my wife what kits I wanted and agreed not to buy any until after Christmas, so we'll see what happens.

I didn't get a picture, but the Oscar Meyer weinermobile was at the local Wal-Mart. -
Reissued kits

Just for clarity for others, the A-Team specific parts in my picture are plated, but not all of the A-Team specific parts are plated. BA Baracus isn't chrome in the kit. -

Slight correction, it does have the extra body line but doesn't go through the front doors. I guess that started closer to the 90s as my 92 has it. It does have a separate chrome tree as well as the chrome tree that comes in the Chevy. -

At least the original is somewhat realistic, it doesn't have any magic flying cars. -

The A-Team van has separate lower skirting for the ground effects and also has the extra body line along the front doors that the older vans don't have. -

I remodel houses, working on one right now, so I get them from old faucets. The newer faucets have plastic ones though. -
I would like to see the GMC version of the Chevy van again, even if they can't call it the A-Team van.
