  1. They're essentially identical from 87-95. Maybe 96 also but I don't remember. There was some minor difference I can't remember for the 86. While I'm quite certain the engine block you make will be awesome, the rest are the important parts that at least I am looking for. It doesn't make any sense to me to buy a beautiful engine block and then cover it with parts that don't come close to it in detail.
  2. It looks like it's missing some glass.
  3. If you don't make that version then it won't be extremely accurate for those of us asking for that version.
  4. I've come to the realization that my beloved 31 year old van might be my project. Then again my wife's truck is the same age. Good thing my work truck is only 30 years old.
  5. Because AMT kits don't come with every type of tire that they offer in a parts pack. I think you missed my point, which is why I used the Chevy/Ford comparison. My question was mostly rhetorical anyways, I wasn't attacking you. I think it's a neat parts pack but it doesn't make sense to me for Revell to make a parts pack that isn't as useful on a Revell kit. Companies usually make things that promote sales of their own other products, not competing companies products.
  6. For something like that I would get a donor vehicle. I used a donor 92 Firebird to swap the fuel injected 3.1 in place of the boat anchor carbureted 2.8 in my old 86 S10 Blazer. The hardest part of the swap was defeating the VATS, and that was easy once I found a not advertised anywhere ground pulse generator module.
  7. It's very different. AMT parts pack tires can be used on AMT kits and other kits, but since Revell vans are already custom it isn't very useful for Revell kits.
  8. It just seems odd to me that they would make something like that. It's like Ford making custom parts for Chevys.
  9. Revell custom parts for vans? What Revell van doesn't have wheel flares already molded on? I had to remove the ones molded on mine, and it was the stockest version I saw.
  10. I'm pretty sure if you saw it in person that would push it across the finished line. I had high hopes, I had the biggest rose colored glasses out there. As a last resort I was going to Mad Max it. Throw away the hood, trunk lid, rear glass, cage the windows. But ideally it would still need things like floors and a straight solid frame, which it has not. The deciding moment for me was when I opened the door and found the rear view mirror had fallen down, and took the entire roof structure piece that it screws to with it.
  11. Here's a couple more pics, for fun. Notice the lawn mower gas tank I used to get it running. My uncle parked it in the woods. Well, it wasn't woods when he parked it there.
  12. Yeah, you're actually looking at the good side.
  13. Went to the LHS knowing I would have to practice some self control. It was tough, but these won out. Still at least ten more on the shelf I wanted, and several more that they would have ordered for me.
  14. I had to sell off a few cars to raise funds to buy my house. An 83 GMC C10, an 87 Chevy R10, and my 72 LeMans. My brother found the LeMans for me and I wish I still had it as he has since passed. My uncle had one and gave it to me, but unfortunately it's far too gone for me to do anything with. Pontiac 400 with a turbo 350.
  15. Doesn't your phone scan your face every time you use it, for the government? (Places tin foil hat back on head.)
  16. I live about 3 miles from the local drag strip. I don't think money is slowing these people down. Is that another rocket launch? No, it's the drag strip again.
  17. I've seen a car or two with an airplane engine, so it's acceptable.
  18. I would like one for the Monogram kit to build my old 87. I think the Monogram is 1/24.
  19. My 78 Coupe Deville was a real Cadillac. It had a 425.
  20. Superman would be in for at least three.
  21. Maybe you could do the HD parts some were asking for. Hood and lower grill.
  22. I had a 4 door 78 Cougar. I thought it was pretty cool.
