  1. Sticking together those plastic parts is building. Somebody had to create those parts so they could be built. 3D printing, creating parts, is a different level. I can build an engine, but I can't create an engine block so I can build an engine.
  2. Yes, but I still have to build the house.
  3. You didn't build a part, you printed a part. You didn't build a file, you designed a file. You have to actually build a part for it to be scratch built. It's an impressive skill, yes, but unless we're changing the definition of words again it's not scratch built. I guess made from scratch would work for me.
  4. Designing a file isn't building. The architect designs the house but I build it.
  5. It's called scratch building, not scratch printing.
  6. According to a bunch of people, nostalgia still sells.
  7. The place ain't the same without you Ace.
  8. That was a little more difficult than I thought, but that's due to age (of the van not me :D). There's a rubber protective boot around the shaft which has turned to hard plastic so I ended up cutting it off. I also cut the line off the pump. I only installed the upper seals on the box because that's what was leaking and I didn't want to go any deeper. The receipt was in the box, I got the seals in January.
  9. Those wheels ruin it. At least they're easily changed.
  10. The truck is working fine with my JB Weld crankshaft patch, and runs much better with the new timing chain and crankshaft sensor. So now I'm finally going to do something to the van tomorrow that I've been putting off for a while. The steering box is leaking so I'm going to install the seal kit I got months ago. I'm doing it because the high pressure line is leaking bad now, which I just ordered and will pick up tomorrow.
  11. This has never happened to me... until today.
  12. I'll get the trailer at Ollie's like I did last time. I didn't think it was that long ago.
  13. Nice, and an ATC.
  14. You're asking the wrong guy. You might try reading what he wrote though, and comparing his pictures to your kit. Same cheesy underhood detail. Same bucket seat interior. Same long bed.
  15. He says he shortened it and the cap is custom for his build.
  16. I think this is one: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/184156-pizza-planet-truck/
  17. It's not the ugliest thing I've seen on Florida highways.
  18. Checked the Ollie's near this job again. They had less than before, and before they didn't have anything I wanted.
  19. Practice on the runner that connects the front and back glass. If they're already separate then practice on the rear glass that you won't be using.
  20. I filled the hood vents and took the steelies from the AMT 62 Impala convertible.
  21. If I don't add the hose, how will I drive it when I use my magic powers to make the car full size?
