  1. Seriously? It looks almost identical to regular racing, but the noises are different.
  2. I've watched some of the electric F1 races. It's like watching an RC race.
  3. The holiday almost got by me. This thread was a bit tough to find.
  4. Luckily for me, I'm always right.
  5. I'm still two of those things.
  6. I can exhibit my Chevrolet and call it a Chevrolet because it is a Chevrolet, even with copyright. I don't see a problem calling it the Uncertain T since that's what it is.
  7. I guess Walmart gets priority.
  8. This thing seems to be fighting me. I got the three broken bolts out fine, but my inherited engine hoist gave out on me. One new hydraulic cylinder from Harbor Freight and I was back in business. Spent yesterday preparing the engine to go in, dropped it in today. Installed the bellhousing bolts and motor mount bolts, then crawled under to install the torque converter bolts. The flywheel is different, the van must have had a 4L80E and mine is a 4L60E, the holes wouldn't line up. Oops, well I pulled the engine back out and then stripped two of the flywheel bolts trying to remove it. I got them out though, swapped the flywheel and put the engine back in. Lost quite a bit of time there, and in my frenzy to make up some time my rapid motions under and back over the truck made me sick, motion sickness, so I had to stop. I only was able to get the bellhousing and motor mount bolts back in.
  9. I'm so glad my wife and daughter like my kits as much as I do. I suggested several to give to my brother but my wife kept saying "he can't have that one" so I stopped. She said she isn't selling any of them either. They are on prominent display on high shelves throughout the living and dining rooms. Everyone who visits seems to like them.
  10. My appliances are the same color as a DeLorean.
  11. I wear my seatbelt, to hold me to the seat.
  12. Old engine out and on the stand. Mostly extra parts on the floor, I need the harmonic balancer and still need to swap valve covers. I made sure I got the brackets because I can use them to do an alternator and a/c compressor swap on my other truck. That's another 5.7 in the back and a 700r4, I'm sort of a collector. Three broken exhaust manifold bolts in one head of the good engine, hopefully I can get them out or I'll be swapping a head too. Plus I have a new plastic timing cover because it's cracked.
  13. I thought this was an interesting subject, until you guys muddied it all up.
  14. I've got a motor. Now I just have to put it in.
  15. I got mine with a bad transmission. I put in an earlier year wrong one and killed it, then I put in the later year wrong one that it has now.
  16. The G10 and G20 are both 5 lug, the G30 is 8.
  17. 95, the one year only transmission. Funny thing is I could only find a 95 transmission when my 93 one went out, so I made it work.
  18. The cars are flimsy because they smoosh so the people don't. The passenger compartment is the strong part. Putting the same safety equipment in a vintage car would mean making the vintage car flimsy also.
  19. But, if they were driven off, you wouldn't have a face full of windshield.
  20. So that junkyard motor was an LT1 and I need a Vortec, but I did get this set of wheels so it will look real cool sitting in the driveway. I did walk around the yard though and found a van that wasn't inventoried that has a Vortec so I'm going to pick that up next Saturday.
  21. Come on now, all you have to do is talk about something and your phone hears it and puts it in your feed. Don't even have to search it.
  22. This one has spokes on the trailer:
  23. From my wife. She remembered I wanted the Mack. She's been mentioning the Ford for probably at least a year so I think she really wanted me to have it. Yes I wanted it too, I want at least one of everything.
