What did you see on the road today?
Tabbysdaddy replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's a Cybertruck at the used car lot about a mile from my house. It's been there a few days or so, has some kind of sticker on the windshield. What's even weirder than that is that my end of town isn't exactly high brow. Mobile homes and junkyards as far as the eye can see. -
From my daughter: I introduced her to The Monkees and she loves them. I have one that I built a long time ago but built it with tan interior and top as per the box art of the issue I had. I had told her I wanted to build one with the correct white top and interior so she got me the new issue.

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
Tabbysdaddy replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I just grabbed a piece from the hose pile. It's fuel hose so I think it will be fine. -

I've had this issue with my (31 year old) work truck for a little while, the gas tank has been pressurizing. Checked the carbon canister, it was clear. Checked the vent line, blocked. I had blown through it with air and carburetor cleaner before, I thought that fixed it but it no. So today I was going to replace the hard line from the front of the truck to the gas tank. Inspecting it again I found a short piece of rubber hose I didn't notice before making the line two sections. Cool, maybe I won't have to replace the whole line. Removed the hose and blew through both sections, clear. The little three inch hose was swelled shut. Saved me a bunch of trouble, fixed way faster than I thought (hopefully this time). -
Nice to see I'm not the only one with janitors keys.

The phrase "a face only a mother could love" comes to mind. -

Saw another Cybertruck today. You know what looks really out of place on them? The license plate. The only bit of color on it. -
I have no knowlage on posting photos.
Tabbysdaddy replied to Craig Irwin's topic in How To Use This Board
You don't have to transfer them from your phone, you can post them from your phone. Click "add files" and pick "my files" or "media picker", then choose the photos you want to post. When it downloads you can insert the photo where you want, where the cursor is, or don't insert them and they will appear at the end of the post. That's how it works on my android anyways. -
Goodbye Hot Rod Magazine?
Tabbysdaddy replied to Rockford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
MeTV does Saturday morning cartoons, and an hour every morning at 7 Eastern. They are also launching MeTV Toons, which has started elsewhere but still waiting in my area. They seem to be having trouble getting it started here. Regular antenna TV, most if not all the classics. https://www.metvtoons.com/ -

Thanks for making me think of this song.

Everybody says that Hobby Lobby has the same kits for ever and ever, so eventually there should be some sitting on the shelf. None at the one near me but I haven't checked for a few weeks.

Goodbye Hot Rod Magazine?

This sort of fits, it's just the continuation of technology: -
I like a lot of the 1/32 kits. Yours looks like the same issue I have, I have all six in the series. I guess I must have gotten it at least 15 years ago. I like how yours is coming along.

Forum website has been sluggish for the last few days
Tabbysdaddy replied to peteski's topic in How To Use This Board
I did something similar with my truck. It wouldn't run sometimes because of a faulty Passlock system, so I rewired it to accept an older non-Passlock computer. I didn't want to send my only computer, the original, away to have the Passlock removed. -

You couldn't make this stuff up...

I get messed with for not using air tools. I guess I should for taking apart, but I like to feel how tight I'm tightening things. -

I haven't seen a fuel injected 4.9, I want one to build my old '87. -
I'm working near an Ollie's so I stopped in. They got in some things that weren't there last time I went. I was looking for the Pinto, the Galaxy was so the Pinto wasn't lonely for the ride home.

No, it has clear headlights. I think it's a very nice kit, it has several optional parts like dual Predator carbureters.
