Of course after all that work on the truck the water pump started leaking. I've been checking the coolant level regularly and it has been dropping slightly, my wife parks on the slab so I saw a pool under it today. It was only 4 years old.

Much worse for me. Now my phone will sleep before the next page loads. It's set to sleep after one minute of inactivity.

I finally took the van out two days ago. It worked fine, didn't stall out, so I thought it was fixed. Took it out earlier and it died on me, right in the intersection of two six lane highways. People are horrible, like they thought I was impeding their progress on purpose. Hazards on, people still laying on the horn. I was in the left turn lane, couldn't coast to the right side because everyone has to swerve around me on both sides. So I made it to the middle lane, wait for everyone to pass, then push the beast to the right. But it was an incline, I could only go so far. More people blowing the horn, wait for it to clear, roll it backwards and make it to the right lane. Wait again, more horn blowing, push it to the shoulder. Don't want to help me, fine, I don't expect it, but blowing the horn and whizzing right next to me while I'm obviously broken down is uncalled for. I called my friend to pull me off the road into the parking lot right there. He took me to get the ICM, the second of three parts that could be the problem. The ignition coil was definitely bad anyways, the pickup coil was working, that has to be it. Swapped it on and went on my merry way.

My first car, a '78 Firebird, had a straight six with a TH350.

The parts seem to be laid out where the ones that would be chromed are on the same tree. I figure they're just not chromed on these samples.

The one I go to doesn't get all of the releases at once. They get some, I check later they get more different ones. I just checked Wednesday, they got in more different ones. Postal Pinto, Rick Shaw or whatever it is, some others I don't remember.

Confidence is high that the coil was the problem.

I hate the hassle of getting the doghouse off, but I like the opposite view of the engine, while sitting inside. It died on me, luckily as I pulled into my driveway, but it was blocking the gate. I managed to get it started to pull it out of the way but it died again. Getting fuel, injectors are firing. No spark, I assume the ICM and pickup coil are fine because the injectors are firing. I try to make the coil fire by giving it power and tapping ground. No fire but ground is sparking pretty good. Not sure what to think about that, so I plug everything back in and it starts right up. Running fine. I think I should replace the coil, I don't really trust it without having changed something.

I've been watching Bad Chad:

Hinge pin bushing install. I already did this once but tapping the bushings in with a hammer wasn't good for bushing longevity. I gently pressed them in with tiny C clamps this time.

I was looking for the Alaskan Hauler. I bought the Demon because "everybody's doing it".

Saw another Cybertruck today:

The Cybertruck I saw at the used car lot, I thought they were moving it back and forth from the lot to a car wrap shop a quarter mile away. Turns out it was two different trucks. The one at the wrap shop was wrapped today. Camouflage like an old war plane, with the mouth and teeth on the sides.

Mine had the 1/43? gas truck and stake bed truck. I got them both.

They don't care about the younger demographic when they re-release all those ancient kits I don't want. This kit and others like it are the kits I didn't get as a youth but will be buying now, now that I actually have money. They're finally moving ahead a few years releasing stuff that was out when I was a kid. I'll take it. I'll take some Fieros. I'll take the Escort or EXP or whatever it was called. I'll take some Rangers, the small one. I wouldn't mind the longbed F150 but we do have both shortbeds. I'm really glad the OBS Chevys are available again. And not Round2, but I'll even take the Revell Citation.
