Ollie's strike again
Tabbysdaddy replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I went to the Ollie's in Casselberry today and they had a good amount more than Hiawassee but not everything and not the ones I was looking for. I did get the Opel and Bel Air though. -
Fun '80s plastic toy cars
Tabbysdaddy replied to Brian Austin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Your post was deleted. I thought it was funny though. -
I like the new look.

I was thinking the same thing. It also has roof ribbing, and the extra body line that later vans had.

That's the Deserter kit. Probably still on Hobby Lobby shelves. It isn't accurate either, the Fall Guy truck was a longbed. But an issue with the decals would get me to buy another.

Ollie's strike again
Tabbysdaddy replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I might have to run out to the coast this weekend. Checked today and nothing new at the one here. -
I remove the s from https and refresh the page. Then whatever wasn't working works.

What did you see on the road today?
Tabbysdaddy replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I didn't see it on the road, but my daughter likes to send me cars for sale in the area. She's only 18 but I think she has good taste. -

Ollie's strike again

I'm working near the Hiawassee Ollie's again. Still a decent variety, several Rat Fink trucks, mail trucks, short bugs, etc. But still no vans. -

Back when men were men, and boys became men a lot faster. -
The model car mob
Tabbysdaddy replied to Chuckyg1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How about "the dreamer"? Piles and piles of unbuilt kits, always buying more for that next project. Thinking about how they will be built, wheels from this kit, engine from that kit. Which other mods to make. But very little actual building going on. -
How to attach these side pipes?
Tabbysdaddy replied to atomicholiday's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I put a set of pipes on with a stripped bread tie, coat hanger style. -
Ollie's strike again
Tabbysdaddy replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
At the one near me, the prices were $20 but went down to $13 for the car kits. -
Edison Diesel-Electric Truck
Tabbysdaddy replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The title says diesel electric, which is commonly used for locomotives. Yes I know how a diesel electric locomotive works, which is why it doesn't run out of charge. It runs out of diesel to power the generator. -

Diesel electric, like a locomotive. They don't run out of charge, they run out of diesel. -

I have a 2wd S10 pickup and I used to have a 4wd S10 Blazer. As far as I can tell the Cyclone AWD parts look just like what was on my 4wd Blazer.
