  1. I'm going with the no bumper look on the rear. I've made a panel to fit, and I'm debating if I want to put some taillights in the panel or just use the stock lights. I need to check the Camaro exhaust tips to see if they will stick out as far as I would like. I may need to find some different ones. The Camaro exhaust had 4 exit pipes, but I cut them down to 2 to make the exhaust system fit better.
  2. I also use the Tamiya x and xf acrylics with Mr. Hobby Leveling Thinner, it works great. I use the Tamiya x-22 clear with the leveling thinner also, works fine. But I have used the Future floor polish (actually Revive It) over the Tamiya acrylics and never had a problem.
  3. Got the wheels ready...........
  4. Thanks Bob. Thanks Mike. Tell your wife not to wait too long, it's harder to recover. My wife had her right one done 4 years ago, and should have had the left one done before now. It was in bad shape, bone on bone, she could not even bend it and it was locking up. But we had a great surgeon that got it fixed and she is recovering well. Mine are bad also, I've had the injection in my left one and will need a replacement probably before the year is out.
  5. Surgery went great, wife is doing good. She thanks all for the well wishes. Not having much bench time right now, but was able to test the Tamiya Copper paint I want to use on the interior. I think it will look good. That is not part of the interior I will be using.
  6. Working on a 50 Chevy 3100. The wheels/tires, engine and seats/console are from a 2017 Camaro kit.
  7. Got the firewall cut out to fit the Camaro engine. Had to make some mods to some of engine bits that attach to it, but I think I can get it all into the engine compartment along with the Camaro radiator/fan assembly. I'll get back on it in a couple of weeks after my wife recovers some from the surgery. I'm about ready to start painting.
  8. It's looking good Bob. The CA glue I use is Loctite Gel in the squeeze bottle, works good for me.
  9. Ok, worked on the interior today. I changed my mind about going with the stock interior and was able to modify both interiors to get the Camaro seats and console to work in the trucks interior. Did some test fitting with the engine and firewall and I will need to do some cutting on the firewall to make things work. Hope to get that done tomorrow and then I will be away from the bench for a while.
  10. Yea, it fit pretty well. Thank you Carl. She had her right one done about 4 years ago, now it's left one. Both are mine are bad so guess I will be next.
  11. Ok, I pretty much got the stance where I want it, may need a few tweaks. Also think I will be able to use the Camaro exhaust with a few minor modifications. Not going to have much bench time the next few weeks, my wife is having knee replacement surgery on Monday and I will be caregiver for a while.
  12. Thanks Bob. Gonna try. Thanks. Thanks Carl. I'm going with the Camaro engine, but I stick with the stock interior.
  13. Looking good Bob. I likes them Pro Streets.
  14. Thank you. Thanks. It's just a piece of rubber tube I painted silver. Thanks Mario. Thank you. Thanks Carl. Thanks. Thanks. I did have some problems with those fender wells, they seemed too long and caused the radiator to be too far from the engine for the hose to fit. Had to make my own hose. Thanks Bob. Thanks you Joe. Thanks David. The air boxes did not fit very good, but I got them in, the photos are dark and really don't show they are not aligned quite correct. I had a problem on one side of the grill because the fender well seemed to long and stuck out in the way. I had to trim it back to get the grille to fit flush. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you David.
  15. Had a few problems with it, but all in all it came out ok. Paint is Tamiya X-14 Sky Blue and Testors Gloss White Acrylic. I don't have much experience with BMF so had a few mishaps with it, but it looks ok. All stock OOB except for some plugs wires and fuel line on the engine. I did try to weather the engine a little. The missing rad hose has now been installed. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
  16. Calling it done. Photos under glass. Thanks to all for looking and the comments.
  17. Thanks Joe.
  18. Started piddling around with this today. I built one stock about a year ago, but want to go a little different with this one. Gonna try and put a 2017 Camaro engine in it, and also use the wheels and tires from the Camaro. Not sure how much modding I'll have to do, may end up putting it all back in the boxes. Haven't decided on a color yet, but thinking maybe metallic grey or gunmetal.
  19. Got it on 4 wheels, engine installed, and got the interior done. Still working on the body. The glass does not fit well at all, trying to work it out.
