  1. Thanks. Thanks David.
  2. A little mock up to see where she sits. I like it. Got to get the interior finished and get the glass and bits installed on the body. Hopefully that won't affect the stance.
  3. Thanks Chaz.
  4. Thanks David. Thank you. Thanks.
  5. It looks great. Nice job. I'll be lucky if mine comes out that good.
  6. Looks great. Nice color combo.
  7. Nice. I like them.
  8. Looks great. Those tires and wheels look like they came from the 66 Chevelle Pro Street kit.
  9. I've got a couple of them, but have not tried building one yet. Back in the day I was doing lots of the old Monogram NASCAR kits.
  10. Got some BMF on it, at least one side and the hood. I have not put on any clear yet, will putting clear over the BMF be ok.
  11. Thanks. Looks like you got a nice start on it, finish that boy up.
  12. It looks great, and nice tribute to your Dad.
  13. Thanks Carl.
  14. Got the interior painted. Working on the dash next.
  15. Got the body painted and some of the chrome trimmed. I tried a two tone ( the blue is the Tamiya X-14 and the white is Testors Gloss Acrylic) and it came out ok, but the masking tape I used left some residue that I can't get off. I used some 3m fine line at the dividing lines, but used Duck Tape Blue Clean Release on the rest and it left the residue. What kind of tape is everyone using? I did the window trims with molotow pens, but I think I will do the side mouldings with some BMF.
  16. The engine is ready..............
  17. Your 51 Bel Air is looking great. I just started this kit, but yours will have much more detail than mine. I'm almost done with the engine, going to try and dirty it up a little.
  18. Looks great Bob. Nice job.
  19. Thanks guys. I just started building on the engine. I'll watch out for the problems. I have been known to throw it back in the box if I get frustrated with it. Steven, that blue on blue looks awesome, and that bittersweet color is beautiful.
  20. I've never done a 2 tone, maybe I'll try it. Thanks. Thanks Joe.
  21. Thanks Joe. Thanks David. Thanks Bob. Thank you. Thanks Chaz. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks Carl.

  23. Next victim. 1951 is my birth year, and I remember my Dad owning a 51 Bel Air sometimes in the late 50's. Don't remember much about it, I think it may have been black. I'll build this one straight stock OOB, but I think it will look good in blue. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
