Got a little done on it. Paint did not come out great, but it's ok. I am going to redo the hood and bumpers because they were pretty bad looking. Got them in the purple stuff. I used Krylon gloss black in the little short cut can I got at Hobby Lobby.
Thanks Carl. I've checked the front and rear bumpers, and the one for the show car does not fit well, the stock ones do. I'll use those as I really don't like those side skirts and wheel skirts on the show car anyway.
The last Revell Special Edition I did was the 68 Chevelle and I made a total mess out of it. I think I may have gotten a little better since then, so I'm giving it a go. I'm sure you would do ok with it.
Already found a problem. After drilling out the holes for the spoiler, the locating pins on the spoiler do not come even close to aligning with the holes. I cut the pins off, but the spoiler has very little gluing contact with the body. May have to leave it off and fill the holes.
I'll try this one next. It will be a slow go with this heat limiting my time in the shed. Anyone who has built one let me know of any problems with it. It will be a combination of the stock and show car. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
This thing fought me every which way but loose. Broke a bunch of parts off tryin to get the frame and body together. I put it back the best I could, I see some details I missed after I got frustrated with it and almost put it back in the box. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
After cooling off a little I went back and did the best I could putting it back together, so I'm calling it done. Heat index below 100 today so I was able to stay in the work shed. Photos under glass. Thanks for looking.
Probably going back in the box. Why are these AMT and Revell kits so hard to get the frame and body to fit together without breaking off a bunch of parts you just spent 2 weeks putting together. It's frustrating.
Good start. I just picked up the Coke delivery sedan version yesterday at Hobby Lobby. Not sure when I will start on it. The heat is on here and it gets up to about 110 in my work shed.
Got a little done. Paint and clear, chassis and exhaust. I made the mistake of installing the rear axle before the exhaust, had to remove and replace. The exhaust is tricky, still not aligned correctly, but it will do.
