Thanks. Createx Pearl Blue bought at Hobby Lobby. I put it over Createx Autoborne white sealer that I ordered from EmbellishFX.com.

Those look great. Seems like a nice kit so far. Got a little done on it. Blue Pearl on the body, got the engine done and installed in the chassis. I have another one of these, it's the special edition 2n1, I will probably do the drag car with it.

The hot weather will soon be here in Georgia, and since my work shed has no AC, I will try to get a few builds in before the temps hit 105 with 90% humidity. During this time of year I'm working at lot in the yard and garden, so don't have as much time to build either. Starting on this Yenko Nova, I've put on a few coats of Createx Autoborne Sealer and will be using Creates Pearl Blue for the color. I tried to darken in the panel lines with some wash I made, but my past experience doing this never came out very good. It will be OOB except for some wiring under the hood. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Looking good Really nice details. This is the first kit I got when I got back into the hobby about 8 months ago, and I totally made a mess of it. I need to get another one and try again.

Thanks. Thank you. Thanks.

NASCAR Next Gen questions
bluestringer replied to dawgvet's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
From what I understand the new kits are molded in the correct colors, no paint needed. Hpiguy has a build video of the 9 car and he didn't paint at all. Mine is on order from model roundup, supposed to be available in May. -
That 55 is looking fine Bob. I've been working on something a little different for me, a NASCAR ride. Got one of those Salvinos JR generic 71 Dodge Chargers and some decals for the Buddy Baker number 11 when he drove for Petty. I use to do a lot of the old Monogram NASCAR kits back about 30 years ago. This Salvinos kit is really nice.

That's great. Looking forward to seeing more. I've started the Buddy Baker number 11 using the same kit. It was a Petty car driven by Baker. I don't have the correct colors, but going with something close enough. The kit is great, a lot different from the old monogram NASCAR kits I was doing 30 years ago.

Slow progress, but getting there. This Salvino JR kit is a lot different than the old Monogram kits I was building 30 years ago. I know my colors are not going to be an exact match for the Petty colors. But they will do.

Well, I don't know as this is my first one. I can take a photo of the chassis and post it here if you want to see it.

I've been playing Horizon 4 for a while now. I bought a pre=owned Horizon 5 from Gamestop the other day. It says it needs a 100GB download to run. No way I can do that, I'm on a data cap of only 40GB a month, besides my hard drive doesn't have that much space. Taking it back.

Thanks. Those Createx paints are nice, go on really smooth.

Thanks Bob. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks Carl. Thanks Chaz.

Don't mind at all. That is Createx Opaque Red. I put it on top of Createx White Autoborne base coat. I have since put some Revive It floor polish on for a clear coat.
-
Thanks. Makes sense since I see other extra engine parts.

Looking over the kit and getting started on the engine. Anyone know why there are 2 sets of headers in the kit?
-
Thanks Mike. Yea, I'm starting a NASCAR build. Back when I got out of the hobby about 25-30 years ago all I was doing were NASCAR kits. Since I've started back less than a year ago I've not done any, so thought I would give it a try again. Picked up one of the Salvinos JR generic Dodge kits. Been looking it over and I'm impressed, very nice kit. Already got the body painted.
