  1. Good start. I just picked up the Coke delivery sedan version yesterday at Hobby Lobby. Not sure when I will start on it. The heat is on here and it gets up to about 110 in my work shed.
  2. Got a little done. Paint and clear, chassis and exhaust. I made the mistake of installing the rear axle before the exhaust, had to remove and replace. The exhaust is tricky, still not aligned correctly, but it will do.
  3. That looks great. I like the color. Nice work.
  4. Been retired now for 11 years. I highly recommend it. Put in 34 years with the State of Georgia (GDOT).
  5. Looks great Bob. Nice work.
  6. Sixteen Tons...............Southern Raised.
  7. Engine and front suspension done,
  8. It's looking great Bob. Nice work. I still have not got the kit, but I want one.
  9. That is a beautiful build. Great work.
  10. Thanks guys. Mine is the orange plastic. I plan on painting it Createx Opaque Red over a base coat of Autoborne White Sealer. Hope that will keep it from bleeding. I've started on the engine, but it's very hot here in South Georgia and my work shed has no AC, so build time is going to be limited.
  11. Next up. Will be OOB except for some engine wiring. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
  12. Thanks. Thank you. Thanks Bob. Thanks. Yea, I hate dealing with warpage, don't really know what to do to fix it. If you notice the third picture you can see a gap on the right of the windshield, that's due to warpage in the windshield frame. I didn't take any photos from the other side. If I did you could see where the top did not sit flush to the windshield frame, also the left rear body is sitting way out further from the rear wheel. But it was a fun kit and it's just a shelf sitter.
  13. Thanks Greg. I also noticed some things missing in the kit, no mirrors, no coil. Not sure what was going on with this one, but I like the kit and will probably try another one to see if I can get a better build. I'll get me some nice tires for the next one.
  14. What would be the best color primer to put on a kit molded in orange? I'm thinking black, but not sure.
  15. This one had a lot of warpage in the body, frame and interior. Nothing fit right. Did the best I could with it. Had problems with my BMF, couldn't get it to stick and that caused incorrect trimming, some I just finished with a sharpie. I shot revive it polish for the clear before I put on the BMF which may have been the problem. Body paint is Createx Opaque Red over white Autoborne Sealer. I tried to add some dust and dirt with Tamiya weathering powders to make it look like a work truck, came out ok I guess. I would have liked to had some bigger off road tires to put on it, but didn't have any. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
  16. Calling it done, warts and all. Photos under glass. Thanks all for looking and commenting. I appreciate it.
  17. Thanks. Thank you. Thanks Carl.
  18. That hotrod is looking great Bob.
  19. Engine and chassis look great. Nice work with the foil, that would have tried my patience.
  20. Nice start. Looks good.
  21. Finishing up the interior, need to mount the spare tire. I'm going without the rear seat, it's a work truck so I'm dirtying it up a little.
  22. Not really sure. She was rescued off the street when she was about 6-8 months. She's probably around 7 years old now.
  23. Had time to get paint on the body this morning. Now it's time for yard work.
