  1. That's a nice looking 37 Bob. Great work.
  2. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks Bob. I got a different primer and tried the Tamiya again following your advice. Check out my 67 Mustang in the WIP section. Much better results. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks. The paint is dark enough so the other trim is kinda hidden. The cover came with the kit.
  3. Changing primer and getting some advice from a forum member (zippi) on shooting this Tamiya acrylics has helped. Paint looks much better than what I've been seeing. I'm satisfied with it. My wife wanted me to build a red Mustang, and it will certainly be red.
  4. Made such a mess with the BMF on the top trim I decided to not even try the bottom. Came out ok I guess. Trying to improve on painting, I'll try a different primer next time. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
  5. Calling it done. Photos under glass.
  6. A few details left before calling it done. I did not have enough BMF to do the bottom and top trim, and I didn't want to try to do the bottom with a sharpie or something. So only the top got trimmed.
  7. Beautiful Impala. The paint is awesome.
  8. Looks great. Nice work.
  9. Good looking 55. Nice work.
  10. Looks great.
  11. I'll be starting this in a few days after I finish the Chevy pickup I'm working on. But I'm going to go ahead and paint it using a new to me primer to see if I can improve my paint jobs. I think the Rustoleum primer I've been using is causing a rough finish to my paint coat and it's coming out not as glossy as I would like. Never tried this Mr. Hobby stuff, so hope it does ok. Going with Tamiya X-7 red.
  12. I think it's a 58. Anyone know of any kits of a 58 GMC pickup.
  13. Thanks Bob. Thanks Carl. I think I like that little rake to it. Thanks. I used Rustoleum primer 2n1 filler/sandable. I'm going to try something different with my next build.
  14. Mock up to see how it sits. I think it's ok, slight rake from back to front. The paint did not come out very smooth, not sure what I'm doing wrong. May be the primer I'm using, think I will try a different one next time.
  15. My Uncle bought this new in 55. It was handed down to my cousin who finally got it restored.
  16. The humidity is so bad here I can't get much done. Parts I painted 3 days ago are still sticky when I pick them up.
  17. That is an incredible build. Kudos to you. I've never seen this level of craftsmanship before. Awesome.
  18. I think I have the front down a little from stock. Not sure if I want to rake it from front to back or put it level, depends on what I can do with the rear section.
