  1. Looking good Bob.
  2. Turned out real nice Bob. I like it.
  3. The windshield frame in my first one was warped a little and I ordered a new one from Revell. It took a while to get it and I fixed the one I had so I have a new one. The one is this kit I'm working on now looks ok, I think it will be fine, but if not I have a replacement. I'm going with this Createx Yellow for the color this time. Haven't decided on the interior yet.
  4. Thanks. Thanks Carl.
  5. Built one of these about 8 months ago, time for another one. The first one I built as the high boy, I'll do the channeled version this time. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
  6. Salvinos JR NASCAR kit and a Tamiya glue bottle holder.................
  7. Thanks. I'll try that. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks Chaz. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. Yes, I'm thinking I will try to start pinning those small parts on. Thanks. Yea, I've noticed the Revell decals can give problems. I even tried using some Testors decal set, but they still didn't want to move around like I needed them to.
  8. Thanks. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you.
  9. Seems every time I get to the finish of a build things go wrong. Lost one of the door handles and the outside mirror, I was able to find replacements in my parts box. The decals gave me problems, both side ones broke, I tried lining them back up but was not very successful. But it was a fun kit, went together good and looks ok I think. I have another 69 Nova that's the special edition 2n1 that I will build into the drag version later this year. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
  10. Calling it done. Photos under glass.
  11. Thanks. Thanks.
  12. Looks great. Nice work.
  13. I use a small ball of Loctite Fun-Tak (from Wal-Mart) on the end of a toothpick. Works well.
  14. Thanks guys. Guess that's why they give you 2 of each size. I did notice they are really sharp. I'll only use them for drilling holes for plug wire and such, no heavy work, but if I break one I'll check ebay for replacements.
  15. Nice set of mini carbide bits picked up at Harbor Freight. One eighth inch shaft fits my Dremel Mini Mite perfectly.
  16. Picked up these mini carbide drill bits at Harbor Freight for 7.50. One eighth inch shaft fits my Dremel Mini Mite perfectly.
  17. Rolling chassis....
  18. Looks good. I just picked up this kit a couple days ago at Hobby Lobby. The black and red looks ok to me and I'll probably just put some clear on it like it is. All that chrome trim is going to give me problems though.
  19. Good start.
  20. Got the floor polish on the body, about 5 coats drying with a hair dryer between coats except the last one I let air dry. Got the interior done. Thanks for looking.
  21. Looks great. Are you using the Createx black sealer as a color coat? I have both the black and white autoborne sealers and have been using them as a base coat under the color.
  22. Looking good. Mine had no decals, but I found a set of Salvinos JR powerslide decals on ebay. They are nice decals. Have you fitted the body on the chassis yet, I had a problem with the hood hitting the crossover breather pipe. Had to work the engine a little lower to make it fit correctly.
  23. Thanks Mike. Thanks Carl.
  24. Thanks. Yea, I'll give it a couple of days and shoot some Revive It floor polish on it. I have some Createx gloss coat but I find I like the floor polish better.
