  1. Nice. I like it.
  2. Don't see why, but it's a 69 Dodge Charger.
  3. Is it best to put on decals before clear or after. I'll be using pledge floor polish for the clear coat. Should I apply the clear, decals, then a second coat of clear?
  4. Couple of shots in the sun light...........
  5. Thanks. I will check that out.
  6. The rustoleum I have is metallic aluminum, didn't want that. So I went with the craft acrylic, called shimmering silver. It looks ok. This was taken indoors, it actually looks better in the outside light.
  7. Boogity, boogity................picked up at HL today, 40% off week.
  8. Thank you.
  9. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing your build. Drag car would be cool.
  10. Thanks Bob. It is a nice kit, I should have done better with it. There is the option of doing the side windows or louvers. I kinda wish I had done the louvers. Maybe I'll pickup another one later and try it again.
  11. Thanks Michelle.
  12. Yes, but I have two options. I have a rattle can of rustoleum metallic silver, and I have some silver craft acrylic paint. Right now I leaning toward the rustoleum.
  13. Calling it done, warts and all. It seems I am going backwards with my builds after getting back in the hobby a few months ago. This is my fifth build and after the 71 Cuda, which I thought turned out good, my last two builds have been a mess. I guess maybe I'm rushing things again, need to slow down. I messed up the paint by trying to put on a good gloss coat of clear (rustoleum 2x clear), it started running and pooling. Some things just didn't fit right with the kit, I was not going for the hurst mustang that the kit is about but only wanted a fastback in blue like my wife's first car she owned. She's fine with the way it turned out, so I'm guess I'm good with it. This was put in WIP by mistake, can someone remove it from there. Thanks.

  15. I'll be doing the race version straight OOB build.
  16. No decals on this one. Wife said hers didn't have the stripes. I messed up the paint job when I put on the clear, trying to get a good shiny surface and sprayed it a little too thick causing some runs and pooling. Wife is ok with it, so I'm good. Will try to get finished photos today.
  17. Looks real good Bob. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a good looking paint job like you guys do.
  18. Looking good. I just pulled this kit out today, think I'm going to do the drag version.
  19. Almost finished. Since there has not been much interest in this not a hurst mustang I'm not going to post anymore WIP photos of it. I'll put up a couple of photos in the under glass section when it's done.
  20. Dragstrip Dynamite.........arrived today.
  21. Those are nice distributors, I've used them a few times.
  22. I'll be following this Bob. I just got this kit a week ago from HL. Was maybe planning to start it after I finish the Mustang I'm working on now.
  23. Engine..............
  24. Still looks great Bob. Nice work.
  25. Congrats Bob. That truck is beautiful.
