  1. This is one of the coolest bugs I’ve ever seen built. ?
  2. Beastly ride. Nicely done. ?
  3. Yes they are working scissor doors. I decided to glue them closed for a few reasons: I didn’t like the way my inside door panels turned out; the interior is 90% black; the doors might not sit tight to the body as was the case with the Lamborghini Aventador I built previously. I might go back and try using tiny magnets to hold them more firmly in place.
  4. So nice. That engine is piece of work. ?
  5. Cool! ?
  6. She's a beauty.?
  7. Appreciated @happy grumpy. Just have to get me fancy background to shoot my cars on... ahem, ahem. ?
  8. @mrm FYI: The kit was released in 2016.
  9. @Tommy124 Misery loves company. Always enjoy browsing through your ScaleMates gallery. 8^)
  10. I built the Snap-Kit version but it pales in comparison to your Tamiya build… nice work!
  11. Great looking car and you’ve done it justice with your build. ?
  12. Completed and photographed Revell's kit this past weekend. Painted with Tamiya LP-51 Orange over grey primer. Wheels are Tamiya X-10 Gun Metal over gloss black. All semi gloss black parts were painted with decanted Tamiya X-29. Most of the kit went together pretty well though I think the ride height could be a little lower at the front. I've also seen builds where the upper door panels stick out a bit at either the front or back. What I Learned: 1. Carbon fiber roof decal was stubborn – didn’t respond well to Micro Sol and Mark Fit Strong was a little rough on the decals of the Revell C7.R 2. Should not have glued the front bumper to the body before painting as it made it more difficult to mask and paint. Trade off is it’s tougher to match paint coverage – especially this orange. 3. Must remember to remove Tamiya Tape before putting parts into the dehydrator as it leaves goo behind. Gaffer’s tape is fine. 4. Side and rear window assembly was a little finicky to squeeze in. 5. Window masks purchased from Hiroboy weren’t precisely cut and required a couple extra pieces of tape to round out a couple edges. They also left residue behind after removing (see photo) 6. Primer is your friend. Skipped priming the engine, interior and a few other smaller parts however this left them more susceptible to scratching and chipping. Thanks for looking :^)
  13. Nice build. The old wagons were great. I drove my dad’s old Volare for a couple years… miss the bench seats. Your cars look great on that background… did you build it?
  14. Never mind Revell doing a great job, you’ve done the great job. Nice piece of art.
  15. Geez, that looks great. Nice paint. Good choice of wheels. Car reminds me of the Dodge Stealth.
  16. ???
  17. You’ve done a fantastic job on this kit. By your description and results I would have thought it was a Tamiya kit.
  18. Great lookin’ build. ?
  19. Very clean work. Super paint job as well!
  20. Excellent work. How did you do the chrome trim and bumpers?
  21. Nicely done. Really like the interior.
  22. Great job on a tough kit - looks very classy. I built the Gangbusters version of the Imperial 8 last year. Went together about as smooth as a stucco bathtub.
