When I first started working in the cabinet shop some 33 years ago, our original location was in a large wooden garage with a single sliding door in a alleyway of a lumberyard. We had a 30" box fan mounted in a piece of plywood stuck in a window opening. At that time we used Wagner electric spray guns to spray the lacquer and hand rolled the contact cement when laminating counter tops. Our heat source was two kerosene torpedo heaters, talk about massive headaches. We had no bathroom facilities, so we would have to walk approximately 20 feet to the nearest bathroom at the lumberyard. We had a 5 gallon can with a transmission funnel shoved in the pouring spout for when we wanted to urinate instead of walking to the bathroom. 🥴 No way in heck could anyone get away with that stuff nowadays.
