  1. Never heard such a thing.
  2. Yeah it's horrible around the scotland county area. Some of them look cool, but i think it's just dumb.
  3. I seen a set of those yesterday and the chick that got out had the same size fake eyelashes on haha
  4. The way the light hits your truck it almost looks like a grey now lol. I bet the avalanche grey will look beautiful. Grey is my favorite color almost all shades of it lol.
  5. That's what she said........Sorry couldn't resist.
  6. WOW! Those look so real! Awesome job you guys.
  7. The trends i hate around here are 1.Jacked up trucks in the front like they think there in a big rig. 2.Lights on the inside of rims and usually 1 &2 are combined. 3.Dudes that mess with there trucks and cars that are super loud and annoying that sound like dirt bikes. 4.Modern & older cars on 30+ inch rims looking like hot wheels.
  8. That's awesome man. Here is a tip for those micro brushes though. You can get 500 or more of them off amazon for like $8. There good quality too.
  9. Right! That's the reason i never bought a set from them. There's a sucka out there some where that'll drop about $25-$30 that's with shipping.
  10. Looks like a blue robin easter egg candy lol
  11. I wish i could of took a pic and i can't even find one, but a corvette i think one of the new ones and it looked like it has a glass bowl on top LOL.
  12. Some of those gundam colors are good for zoid kits too ?
  13. No you actually have it backwards lol. Micro set is used to set the decal in place while also softening the decal to than be set in place, and Micro sol is used if you need to get the decal around details etc and for that painted on look. I recommend using water and little bit of dawn to get the decal in place where you want it and than use micro set, and after that if the decal is good and no air bubbles etc than you Micro sol for that painted look or to get into panel lines better or over rivets better etc. Unless our bottles have different instructions? Than that how it goes.
  14. Yeah the 3 shops i go too are a good hour away for myself as well. I stopped going to hobby lobby cause like you said its the same ole same ole nothing different. Eventually I'm gonna stop going to those shops, because half the time i travel over a hour to have no luck finding certain things. 90% of the time I'll find what I'm looking for online easily, and at a much better price.
  15. I know i have issues sometimes painting deep rims. If you aren't careful you'll get that pebbly look from the paint bouncing all around. I think using shish kabob sticks or the like and spin the wheel around as your painting could help.
  16. I have lego and car audio and building PC's as other hobbies so prices of model kits do not bother me. What bothers me is when a person goes and marks up twice for no reason or explanation. This old mans shop i can barely support because of what he does, because I'm not that stupid to pay almost twice the price for a kit when i know i can get it else where cheaper and i have. I couldn't talk to the owner that day cause he wasn't there, but the kit was still in the same spot with a new price of $94 lol. Like if i know i couldn't get it else where for cheaper and they were similar prices online with shipping? Than sure I would drop $94, but even tamiya has the kit on there site for $78 not $94.
  17. Kits came in 2 days ago but i forgot to take pics, and legos came in today lol.
  18. 2nd paint job? This is actually the 2nd paint job using splash paints grabber orange. Had to strip MCW grabber orange cause the decals, and the decal sheet i got from ebay they tore on me trying to apply so i said bump it. Gonna add fender flares instead. I wish i would of went with a lighter brown for the floor though, but it didn't turn out too bad.
  19. Did some test fitting on the bronco. If anyone can spot the mistake i had to fix you get a free like ?. Also should of did more sanding, but i did buff some more after the fact and toned the 2K down little more. Got some stuff coming in from joseph from fireball for the bronco too. Besides the dust on the seats i should of did more work with the rear back seat too, but these 3 seats where my worst enemy lol. Build is NO WHERE near done though.
  20. Wow that was fantastic. I have some of that stuff and there wood versions too. This does have it's place regardless if it replaces BMF or not it's still nice.
  21. Im a airbrush guy so i cant really help any further with too much. But yeah the LP line up from tamiya is nice its basically there can version of lacquer paint just airbrush version. MCW is good stuff even though I'm not to fond of there gloss lacquer, but there semi gloss interior paints are top notch. Scalefinish is another great source for automotive paint. Mr hobby has a great line up of paint as well as there fantastic primer. Use quality mr hobby leveling thinner for tamiya LP and there own line up even other brands, and there rapid thinner for metallics, flats, and primer. Tamiya primer is amazing as well, and ammo by migs titan hobby primer is amazing too. Those are the only two brands i will shoot out of a can just because of how amazing the finish is. I didn't say mr surfacer because i use it in the bottle version, but i heard there can version is equally as good. I'd only use cheap thinners from big box store for cleaning my brushes and stuff not for thinning my paint, but to each there own. When i started in the hobby i started with airbrushing and learning how to thin paints and how to use a double action brush. I guess you could say i started the hard way, but it's easier to learn now than later. It's like gaming on a console(Spray cans), and than switching to PC gaming(airbrush). Can take awhile to adjust and learn depending on the person. Eventually you're able to do all of it. But lot of us will decant paint to minimize a lot of waste, and it's not messy to decant paint. If it's messy than you're doing it wrong lol. I just never understood why folks would use $4 can of paint that's made for furniture on a $30+ kit, but whatever works works i suppose. I guess at the end of the day if you get great results and you're happy than that's all that matters. Sorry for my long paragraphs and small rant lol
  22. Here's a sticker shock. I went to one of my usual hobby shops and he's usually pretty high on most things, but this was a shocker to me. Last time i went he had the tamiya Mclaren senna for $70 which was already too high, but this time when i go back he had it for $95. I'm telling myself like bruh this kit been in the same spot for months and now it's gonna sit there even longer until some silly goose bites. I got that kit for $55 and you can still get it for around that. This is why i can't support local shops like i would love too, but i do get some paint here and there.
  23. Dry and dusty like pebbly look means it's drying before it hits the surface or it's bouncing off another surface. I own that brush and have both .34 and .5 needle set up, and 20 is way more than enough for color coats. I do 18 with .5 in my eclipse. What did you thin it with? How close are you shooting? Are you using the right primer for a hot lacquer? Some paints like to go on wet. Use white test spoons to figure out the issue, before using a kit.
