Prices on clean examples have been skyrocketing lately

I was curious if the mold is forever modified into the impala or could the old caprice kit ever come back?

The current foxy box chevy van has a molded in hood but also includes the separate hood so its almost there

Thanks to your suggestion I scraped up the courage to email him and he was nice about it and offered to send new hoods ( I bought a hood for a different car at the same time, it had bubbles, but not as bad. Hopefully good news arrives in my mailbox soon

I was thinking about that, but I'd have to get a whole 'nother kit to change my theme

How are the tires and mold quality? Flash etc?

Hey guys, months ago I purchased a 70 challenger flat hood for the 1/24 RM kit and some other items from a well known caster. They had numerous pinholes in them and I painted and used one piece and it came out fine since they were under the surface. I only recently prepped the hood and it seems like much more work than its worth. Im not sure what some of you would do. I dont buy much resin parts so I wouldn't know what is acceptable and what is trash. This caster has always seemed to have good reviews on his items. It did fit well at least. I was just trying to fill in the holes with dabs of tamiya primer. I'm just frustrated right now, if anyone knows who else makes one, let me know, thanks

Wishful thinking but it would be nice if this was a 2 n 1 with the badman parts. Hopefully with matching rear wheels

I always have a hard time with the 1mm. Seems to always clog for me. Or should I buy a new tip?

Thanks for all the replies, guys. When I used to build 15 years ago I would let the color flash and put down clear, and I just got back into the hobby last year and read some stories that if I didn't let the base dry enough, the clear could crack over time ( I'm guessing due to different drying rates, and I do have some older cars that did this) so I've been being a little cautious. But now I'll have to take a better look into my methods, and I'll post if I figure out what happened to the gold paint

I do it to remove dust, etc. I would love to minimize washing bodies but I'd like to learn what other guys do. Gotta use the search function sometime

Yes, I know this too well. Thats why I'll lay a coat of clear before sanding

Oh and hawaii tap water is heavy in minerals etc so that might be something too? We get water spots very easily
