  1. I drive a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys.
  2. I wonder if it is a RWD LS, or a LS4 which is designed for FWD duty. Cool car. I prefer Fiero's to be stock in appearance, but I like the Zimmer better than those fake Lamborghini kit cars.
  3. 1/16 scale 1984 Corvette. The only scale I did not have. The engine is started, but I will disassemble it. and build it correctly. The rest of my models are 85s with TPI. This will be the only one with Cross Fire Injection.
  4. I hate fakebook. Took me 6 years to finally sign up, and now I refuse to use that platform.
  5. This will be a nice kit to have. The old mpc versions are getting crazy in price as does most 80s cars in scale form. It will be nice to buy them at a more reasonable price as a 1/24 Revell kit.
  6. Knowing the limits of your car, tires, or brakes is where inexperienced drivers get in trouble. Tires and brakes are everything. I cringe when someone says they put whatever or, whatever was cheapest for tires or brakes.
  7. Hollywood is in the same boat. Commercials, and even tv shows blur out, or cover the emblems for the same reason. We live in an upside-down world.
  8. Hi performance cars in the hands of low performance drivers. Car brand is not important. There just seems to be more videos of Mustangs hitting curbs, and pedestrians than any other car. Does it mean Mustang is the official car of the low performance driver? No! I have owned my fair share of 5.0 mustangs. My first new car was an 85 5.0/5 speed convertible. I can say they were cheaper, and I did all my stupid stuff in them. 40 years later I drive a 4-door sedan capable of running circles around my first 5.0. I drive it differently and I can say I no longer seek out pedestrians or curbs as prey. LOL
  9. Great build. I remember wondering if Ford would eventually drop the 5.0 in the XR4TI. I am glad someone is doing it even if it is in scale. Does this mean the pace car decals from the mustang kit are up for trade?
  10. The world needs more CUCVs. I prefer at least 1/25 scale, so with that said, I am gathering parts to build both a M1008 from the MPC Deserter kit with extended bed, and an M1009 from the Revell k5. I have most everything to get started. I am just waiting on a 1/25 6.2 N/A Diesel, and 6.5 TD later this summer. After looking at that 1/35 kit, I must have one. The tires are wrong. They used Goodyear tires. Not BFGs
  11. This excites me. If I owned a real one, a 3.6 FLX high feature V6 would be the swap of choice. 321-335 HP, 275 ft lb torque, light weight, and should easily fit where the 2.8 sits. Or a gen 3 supercharged 3.8 v6 L32 which has 260HP 280 ft lbs of torque. Maybe even the last variation of the 4.3 v6 that was LS based called the LV3. It produced 285 hp, and 305 ft lbs. torque In scale maybe just the 2.8 with twin turbos
  12. Actually, the white wheels look good. Maybe with white rally stripes. On the other hand, gold, or hyper silver for the rims would look great too.
  13. Absolutely incredible. I looked at the pics several times thinning it was pics of an actual car and only noticed a couple things that convinced me it was indeed a model, and not the real thing.
  14. Very nice. I love the color, and wheels you chose. I made my own headlights by taking a pick of a sealed beam off a car parts site, shrunk it down, scotch tape on both sides, and glued it to the Iceman grill. I think it came out ok. You can see mine here
  15. Wow. I just said my wife thinks I have a problem. This conversation went sideways quickly. My wife knows exactly what to do with my collection should something happen to me. She will sell it off as a collection or donate it to an auction that supports the upkeep of an animal shelter. She also has an idea of value too. 1/25 scale = 30.00 per kit, 1/16 scale = 50.00 per kit. 1/8 scale = Arm and Leg per kit.
  16. I cannot say who, but I can say one of aftermarket companies has a 6.2/6.5TD in the works. Supposably by end of summer 2025.
  17. Maybe a common swap, but not stock. They did have a 1/2 ton 10 bolt differential in the rear with eaton posi, and I think a Dana 44 up front with 3/4 ton springs all around. Mine was 100% stock the way it came from the factory in 1984. Minus a few things like camo, and grill guard, your model looks very close.
  18. Wrong engine for sure but same axles, 3:08 final drive on the blazer, and 4.11 on the 1 1/4 M1008 truck. Both with gov-loc rear. Correct wheels too, 15X8. It would need a few things for military spec, but not far off.
  19. As a former plumber turned machinist, this excites me.
  20. You had me at Belair. I love all things B-body. Drivers mirror to body seal is backwards. The passengers looks correct.
  21. Freedom Sticks are a problem for me too. Like when she says, "Another box of ammo?" or "Don't you have a bunch of those already?" The 1/1 car thing needs its own forum for me. This hobby she understands. She is a car gal, so I get a pass at those bad decisions.... Most of the time.
  22. This got rekindled in 2016 with the purchase of one Pontiac grand prix model after 30 ish years away from building that I purchased at a yard sale. Now I have 40 built, and 185 in the closet, and an entire room devoted to building them. I try to explain that others have so many more than me, and that building, and collecting are two different hobbies. However, she is not having it. She thinks I should back off buying till I get some built. Am I crazy?
