1992 Chevy Silverado Sport
WillyBilly replied to av405's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great build. Having owned a couple Victory Red trucks, I would say the hood is spot on. -
RED Turn Signals/Hazards : WHY ?!?
WillyBilly replied to 1972coronet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree amber is the best way to identify a turn, but I think we are over thinking this. Red, amber, blue, green. If the light is flashing, something is happening, and you should be aware. Twice I have had a left directional on. One with an amber turn signal, the other with red. in both these cases as I turned left, the driver behind me tried to pass me on the left. Both times I was sent into a brick sign base, and a rock wall. The color of the light means nothing if the idiot behind you is not paying attention. Work on replacing idiots with normal people. -
Odd Jobs
WillyBilly replied to noname's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great build. It looks so real. When you said Odd Jobs, I naturally thought of this guy from Gold Finger. -
Beautiful.

A couple wreckers
WillyBilly replied to Musclecars's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Outstanding tow rigs. -
Outstanding. I had to take a double take on the Tasca dealer emblem on the back. Great detail.
-
Great looking Mopar. I like the blue tint on the upper windshield.
-
Great build. I love Studebaker cars like the Avanti, and Starliner. Way ahead of their times. Great color choices.

Arrived today. After exhausting all avenues to find this in Styrene, resin or 3D I broke down and spent way too much money on what seems to be the last black diecast Dodge Omni GLH on the planet. I want to take it out of the package to display it, but it is sealed, and I cannot bring myself to do so........ Yet. If I open it, and couple things that would need to be addressed is tires. The tires are way too big, and the wheels need more shine. Also, I noticed the hood has no intercooler vent.

I followed the build of this car, and it is incredible what you have done with it.

In previous years, I build 2 to 5 models all year. Now that I have devoted room to the hobby, I have built 7 so far. Other than my poor eyesight, shaky hands, I feel like a kid again. In all fairness, the Gold G-van, Racer's Wedge, and 57 chevy have been painted for a few years. The van was 60% done, and the Chrystler Atlantic was a snap kit. I do like to have a paint fest every so often. I will paint 2-6 bodies at a time, and once they cure, they get wrapped and placed back in the box for future builds. It makes it nice because I am not waiting for bodies to dry.

Sweet Cadillac. I love GM D-Bodies.
-
Great collection of 58-70 B-bodies.

I have always wanted to build this car after seeing the movie. It took a few decades to say the least. I think I started actually building it about 3 years ago. The paint is at least 2 years old. I used Testors Yellow enamel, with two coats of Testors Xtream lacquer Wet look clear. The engine is a BBC, pieced together from a couple different kits. I kept the hood for just like Popular Hot Rodding did.

1973 Dodge D100 Stepside
WillyBilly replied to satterwhite78's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great looking truck. I did the same thing to build a military M880 Dodge truck, and the Mopar muscle truck from Roadkill garage. -
The Miller High Life Mustang
WillyBilly replied to RIXprints's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
I remember having built the Motorcraft IMSA Mustang that I was way out of my league. Yours came out better than mine -
Missing Revell BRE 510
WillyBilly replied to IBuildOneFortyEight's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
The lower front valance is a fairly flat piece on the 510s. You can probably make the piece out of sheet styrene if you can't find one. -
Squarebody Drift Truck
WillyBilly replied to RW033's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That is awesome. I love the grill -
87 Blazer
WillyBilly replied to Hard_2_Handle_454's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I am not sure, but I think you have the first completed ST Blazer on here. Great build you have there. -
Hummer H1 camper
WillyBilly replied to Grzegorz's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Outstanding overlander. I love H1s. Such a great example with the camper. The paint is great too. -
79 10th anniversary Trans am. I love kits that have no bar code. I built this kit back in 1979. It was started, and the t-tops were cut out with a chainsaw, but the price was right. A set of Monogram/Revell 1980 Mustang/Capri TRX wheels that showed up in a regular envelope. I was able to glue the pieces back.
