Really nice looking Dodge. Always liked the 70's decade Dodge .You did a real good job , the real ones probably weren't that shinny even fresh out the factory. Beautiful color and the finish is top notch. -
Pontiac GTO 1967 (MPC 1/25 scale)… a NIGHTMARE build…
happy grumpy replied to Tommy124's topic in Model Cars
Well, it certainly turned out well despite all the bugs. MPC kits are always easy to be polite. But you nailed it, the greater the pain, the bigger the reward. -
Awesome challenger. Love the color. You did a great job on the working hood hinges.

Great build, I had this kit for 6 years now, always hesitated. You might have given me the push to start it.

Been a while since I posted. A lot going on, had to slow down a bit. I built this last year as a " can I do it project " . Not my best work though but as there is no Charger 500 but the MPC which is rare and pricy. I took and old MPC daytona body and slap everything I could find that would approximate the real thing. The chassis comes from the Revell 67 coronet . I slapped the front bumper of the MPC 69 charger (which is part of the Daytona kit). I adapted the Hart parts 68 coronet resin grille to fit the front bumper and put clear lenses over the headlights. This was supposed to be just a test but it turned out better than I thought. I tried to print the decals but was half successful. The front side markers are missing in the photos, I will put them on when I can find suitable ones. The Revell Daytona would be a better choice but I still have a kit but I did not want to use it as I have ideas for that kit. there you have it , my take on the Charger 500, a short live muscle car superseded by it's more popular Daytona sibling. BTW, the Coronet chassis fits it like a glove. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the playground Bill. -
I really like corvettes of that decade. Curved lines mixed with sharp angles, Camaro's and firebird's also had this in their design . Really miss my 87 firebird right now. Great looking Vette, that yellow really makes it pop.

Perfect color for a Bee. Steelies with red line tires, can't ask for more. Great job Ken.
