What would YOU like to see as a model
Mike C. replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know I keep asking for this one, but I really want to do one of these, full custom. Revell has the old 1/24 Monogram Blazer tooling so that's a good start. -
Still never got my F-250 bed. It was my fault. I accidentally typed in the wrong zip.

What are the must-build classic kits?
Mike C. replied to OldNYJim's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Defiantly the 1/16 off road Revell Chevy truck with bike. I also have a 1/16 Revell CJ78 Jeep with RM Suzuki. All of the early 80 1/12 Motocross bikes including 2 Baja Huskys. 2 Monogram square body Blazers and some others.... -
R.I.P. Rock on brother! ?

Somtimes, all you have to do is scuff the body down and paint like I did with the Rebel Machine.

Haven't done one in a while but I used to completely disassemble the diecast and then use that paint stripper you can get at Home Depot then completely wash and scrub the body and accessories. Then I would use self-etching primer and paint of my choice. On the Chevelle I used photo etched parts for a 1/25 model some of the pieces actually fir better.

I'm pretty sure Texas 3D customs makes a frame to go with that kit. -

Kits you can't seem to have enough of.
Mike C. replied to Sledsel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It seems like every time I stop at HH, I pick up one or 2 of these. The parts alone are worth the entire purchase when they have the 40% off sales. Have lots of tire/wheel sets to trade. I have at least 6 of these kits. a few molded in black. Also, the Revell GMC truck. Have like 3 of these. -
