I would say no on the BBC, as those are easy to find. You can pick up a Revell '67 Vette kits for $10.00 and the included BBC engine is very nice. Maybe if you just offered the truck specific exhaust manifolds and 2- and 4-bbl intake manifolds and air cleaners? Correct/accurate rearends/axles are definitely needed, but my only concern would be the great variety of Dana axles available. If you can make the most popular ones, great, and I think they would sell. Even if you just supplied the center section, and had the end used supply styrene or aluminum tubing for the axle tubes, they would be good upgrade parts to have. I can't think of any kits with axles which made me think "Wow, that Dana 44 is really accurate!", so it's definitely an untapped market so to speak, but I suspect it's all the modification which has prevented others from doing what you have done. A set which would work for the just-reissued Revell (ex-Monogram ) 1/24 '77 GMC kit would be great, too, but I think 1/25 knuckles and a center section would work fine, allowing the buyer to make the axles tubes the correct width. That brings us to the next kit parts which always need a visual upgrade- leaf springs.

'73 Chevrolet Chevelle- Mastered by Tom Ellifritt
Casey replied to W-409's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hopefully this topic will be an inspiration for you and others who want something is scale which isn't available. Tom's work is incredibly nice, and to think that he's going through all this effort to help others out and save them a ton of work is very generous and unselfish on his part, and speaks volumes about his passion for the hobby. -
They occasionally list some of their items on eBay individually, but not very often.

The Vickie frame's wheel base is much shorter than the '50 Ford's for starters. You'll need do get out your frame stretcher at the very least.
-
I'd like to see some detail pics of the engines if someone would be so kind. It's tough to tell what they really look like from the box art.
-
This isn't going to help Matthijs, but Hobby Lobby carries a nice, bendable metal rod which is great for use on scale projects.

I haven't seen any, but the Lindberg Bull Horn kit is supposed to have some pie-crust slicks and is supposed to be reissued this year... I'm guessing you've seen the smallish pie-crust slicks in the Minicraft Model A kits? They are very odd with a huge hole on the inner sidewall, though, and quite frankly, not very nice.

Nice work on the seat, Mike. Good to see someone jump in with a Datsun Nissan I6, too.

The 1/24 Monogram '69 Camaro (and I think some issues of the '56 Chevy) had a twin turbo setup with twin-turbo specific manifolds for the SBC, but as Rob said, accuracy and fidelity were not its strong points.

I've never seen Magnum 500 style wheels in 1/16 scale, either. If you're looking for some steel wheels in 1/16 scale, I can help you out with those. I will PM you, Fred.

No, the 1/16 MPC Street Charger kit includes 5-slot steel NASCAR type wheels.

No, since no buying nor selling are allowed here, you're pretty much beyond what is allowed on the forum. If you sent your payment as "For goods" via PayPal, request a refund from PayPal and proceed that way. Honestly, there's not much a Mod can do here other than to try to help when a trade isn't completed. It's been stated a few times that trading is an inherently risky proposition, based solely on trust, so it's up to each person if they want to accept the risks and proceed. There's no ideal way to let others know if someone didn't send what they were supposed to, but the rule to follow is this: If you're not prepared to lose what you're sending, don't send it. I have yet to receive my end of two trades, too, and one of the members has read and ignored my PMs. There's not much else a person can do except hope the trader steps up and either makes contact or send what he/she is supposed to.

I love how the camper shell door flaps open each time it leaves.

I've hit some speed bumps lately, but managed to make some progress on the AMX GT. After looking at pictures online for a few hours, I decided the rear "hatchback" area need some additional thickness, so I added some more styrene around the rear window opening...then filed away too much on the left side of the opening. I also opened up the left rear quarter window opening to match the near-finished right side, so at least that went well. A coat of high-build primer helped me see where more bodywork was needed, so I sanded some more and decided to start the rear wheel flares using some styrene strip. I think I may need to enlarge the wheel openings again, this time remembering to account for the thickness of the strips. Anyhoo, I'm calling this progress for now:

Some of the AMT '80s "Customizing Series" kits included a two-part putty, as I recall chopping the top on the '49 Mercury and wondering how well the putty was going to fill in the gaps...not very well I found out later.

87-93 mustang LX coupe/Hatch
Casey replied to white00gt's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Nobody likes a tease, Jeff. Spill it. -
This one's not doing it for you anymore, Greg? The other issue I see is would they include both Model A and B grille shells, radiators, as well as both frames? What about suspensions? The pictured Model A is wearing a Deuce grille shell and appear to be sitting on Deuce rails, too, so I'm not sure a specific Model A hot rod has enough selling power compared to Stacy David's Rat Roaster '32. Maybe as a modified reissue? That could work.

You're doing just fine, Bruce. I like to hit the "Return" key twice after adding each attached picture, so that the pictures are not all side-by-side nor bunched together. I think that makes it a bit easier to view/read, too, for others.

Casey replied to white00gt's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I think Brad received a gag order the last time he mentioned a Mustang LX and Revell in the same sentence. -
Bruce, I tidied up your images a bit, and combined all three of your posts into one, here in "Under Glass". Not sure how that upside down pic got that way, though. Nice looking GT500. This is a really nice kit that goes together very well.

Love that color, Mike. Great gauges upgrade, too.

Just a thought about the U.S.
Casey replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Didn't they build a huge new building last year? I recall exiting I-94 at that exit on my way to a friend's house in Kenosha prior to the Packers-Bears NFC Championship game, and seeing the new building under construction. Maybe they'll sell these there, too?:
