  1. Look at those leaf spring-to-axle u-bolts. They're 24" long! And chrome plated.
  2. Scott, do Revell and Revell of Germany kits ship to you from the same place? Do they ship together or are they shipped separately from each other? Thanks for the update.
  3. I think you have to file a dispute/claim within 45 days if you paid via PayPal, so it may be too late for Phil.
  4. There are "common" thicknesses of sheet styrene- .020", .030", .040", .060", .080", but as Jonathan said, scale thickness styrene does not have the same properties as its 1:1 steel equivalent, so things don't always translate to smaller scales perfectly.
  5. I think the drag section is a good area to look/ask about chassis tubing sizes. I don't think there is a "typical" size(s), but rather you find out how thick the 1:1 part or section is, reduce it to 1/25 scale, and buy the appropriate thickness styrene sheet/rod/strip.
  6. Send him a PM, please.
  7. Was it jbhobbies, maybe? They look like they are based on the 4-slot wheels from the AMT '33 Willys kits.
  8. What happens when you press the button?
  9. Thanks for the heads up, John, especially for those who might want to use it as you suggested.
  10. Good to hear you'll be attending...and taking lots of pics? That'd be one heck of a "one-up" move...but not a bad idea.

  12. Straight from Revell's facebook page: Revell USA It’s true – this year Revell USA will not be attending the iHobby Expo. Instead, we have big plans to make some very exciting announcements about our 2013 releases. Stay tuned - we'll be sharing more information about how you can catch the world premiere of ALL NEW tooling, new licenses and more this October.
  13. I asked everyone to stay on topic, and I don't see a need to clarify that again. I'm not interested in drama. If you have a question or comment for me, PM me, please. Thanks. Now, back to the topic.
  14. Let's keep this topic, well, on topic, and discuss what Revell might be announcing, either at iHobby (in person or not) or via another method.
  15. Head to eBay and do a completed items search for "red alert".
  16. I'm not even going to ask what "ghetto" means. I don't know why the number of post views or posts in a section matters. Gregg has stated many times this is a community where we come to share our work, ideas, thoughts related to model building, etc., so it doesn't matter (to me) if a post gets one view and zero comments or it gets 1,205 views and 17 pages of comments. It's not a competition, and there is no trophy for getting the most comments or having the most posts. Some sections are newer, so they will naturally have fewer posts than sections which have been around since the start of the forum in 2007. Yes. There are specific sections, so please use them. As Harry has stated many, many times, you can't please everyone Nobody but you can control how you browse the forum, but if one member asks for the forum to be reorganized to suit his/her tastes, that really goes against the community feeling Gregg has genuinely tried to create here on the forum, doesn't it? I guess what I would suggest is starting your own forum, which you can set up how you like, and run it how you see fit. I can tell you from first hand experience it's a lot of work, but I think it's worth doing if you truly want something different which nobody else offers. This "reorganizing the sections" topic was beaten with a stick a few months ago, so please, let's not go there again.
  17. Just saw another one there last night.
  18. Not until someone sticks their neck out and puts the brakes on it. Until then, I'm gonna go watch Ghostrider.
  19. Absolutely, NIko, anyone is welcome to join. All you need is a Studebaker.
  20. That 6x6 is really neat. Is it based on the Aurora Banana Splits Banana Buggy kit? Over hill and highway, the Banana Buggies go...
  21. Looks like a lot of AMT Double Dragster (Fiat body shells) and Double T parts.
  22. No need to get all huffy.
  23. Niko, this body is from AirTrax, correct? It looks to be nicely molded, especially the emblems/nameplates.
  24. That's what I was thinking, too. Beautiful work going on here.
